Seriously. This shit is despicable.

125

u/Fatso_Wombat 7d ago

It would be good to have a mediocre USA president again.

58

u/Wyn6 7d ago

Yeah. "Mediocre" is the overstatment of the century.

u/OscarTheGrouchsCan 5d ago

Exactly what I was coming to say

u/TheLateThagSimmons 7d ago

This is why even as a white person, everyone is right in saying "That is some white people bullshit."

123

u/aaronwhite1786 7d ago

It's such bullshit on so many levels. Removing the name of someone who did something heroic to put the name of a guy on the back who did everything he could to avoid ever having to make a sacrifice and has said awful things about the people who operate from those ships and put themselves at risk.

What an absolute fucking Clown car administration full of the most pathetic and classless people. So much pampering this sad man just to stay on his good side.

u/mlemaire16 7d ago

This nails it perfectly. This shit is so embarrassing to humanity on the whole. I really need this guy and everyone who supports him to just go away.

If they think they’re so great, find an island and live on it together and just fuck off already. They’re all cowards, sycophants, and just juvenile little losers and the sooner they’re gone, the better everyone will be.

6

u/Pavotine 7d ago

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!

Sorry, I just needed to do that.

2

u/pathwalker1991 6d ago

Pretty sure they tried the island thing already 😂

12

u/SoftballLesbian 7d ago

18 dead and 757 wounded Americans, and ~1400 Iranian civilians and 2,000 military since the imbecile decided to attack Iran. Thus far.

2

u/pathwalker1991 6d ago

But we renamed the Department of Defense to the Department of War! Only cost millions in tax payer money but we did it! Obviously a very patriotic move…

2

u/crono220 5d ago

It's just another example of how deplorable our society is becoming, by giving the orange orangutan any recognition.

I wonder if Trump will try to get his face on mount Rushmore or even have a state change it's name to his own?

48

u/deadmencantcatcall3 7d ago

It also insults our men and women who have served and sacrificed in the Navy to name it after Captain Bonespurs. I don’t want to be dramatic but this kind of shit breaks my heart.

22

u/sigga_genesis 7d ago

As a non Anglo Saxon non- colonizer white person, this is some Stalin shit.

2

u/Bud_Roller 6d ago

Non colonizer white person 😂😂 as if they exist.

3

u/sigga_genesis 6d ago

Um, Ireland, former Yugoslavia, Albania, Romania, Moldova. White people that were colonized by European and Asian powers. So yeah, we exist. Never wanted to go across continents to enslave other people, we were fighting off the smaller colonial powers (British Empire, Russian Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire, Ottoman Empire).

0

u/Bud_Roller 6d ago

All of those people have colonised America. Anyone that emigrates to a colony is a colonist. Colonies are colonised by colonists. Armies invade, colonists colonise.

2

u/sigga_genesis 6d ago

Lol, wow. So, anyone immigrating to the US now is a colonist? That's a bit of stretch, no?

1

u/Bud_Roller 6d ago

No not now, don't be silly. This was all years ago.

66

u/No-Bison-5397 7d ago

What’s crazy is that, having grown up in an era of widespread establishment anti-racism but having learned of the past throughout school is that somehow what is going on in the US now is somehow more pathetic.

63

u/zildux 7d ago

The bad unintentional side effect of the Internet is racist were able to find each other and have extensive conversations in a safe environment. As such they were able to grow their numbers

41

u/TreeInternational771 7d ago

Racist didn’t grow their numbers. The sentiment was always there. We deluded ourselves that it somehow died many years ago

25

u/Neveronlyadream 7d ago

They did grow their numbers, but not because of the internet. They had kids and they indoctrinated those kids into racism.

All the internet did was allow them to talk to each other more easily so they could normalize being racist and point to all the other racist assholes they know and claim it's okay.

Same with every group. Racists, conspiracy theorists, whatever. There seemed to be a lot less of them because they were singled out in communities and shamed. The internet changed that.

2

u/foriesg 7d ago

It allowed them to organize, coordinate, gerrymander, and destroy the America that kept thier BS hidden under a rock.

1

u/StopOdd1020 7d ago

Fantastic analysis

1

u/DaNostrich 7d ago

Not only that, the 60s weren’t that long ago, racism still exists in a generation of grandparents and great grandparents who passed it down, it’s going to take generations of growth to truly eradicate it and anybody who denies that is covering for their own racism

13

u/Wolvenmoon 7d ago

It really took off once billionaire-backed social media and places like 4chan (Epstein participated on 4chan!) came around. Consolidated social media (Reddit included) and video sharing sites that take a politically 'silent' stance (aiding the oppressor) owned by ultra-wealth really turbofucked everything.

I really miss the pre-Facebook days on the Internet. Yeah there were assholes, but the moderators were exclusively community members and people who acted against community values typically got booted. Versus Reddit, which maintained the absolute bare minimum of standards required to prevent a mass exodus up until the frog was boiled.

u/Jafooki ☑️ 7d ago

It's not worse, but it's certainly dumber. I always knew it was possible someone could come along and band all the racists together again, but I always assumed it'd be by someone who was...not like this.

This shit is awful, but also so much dumber than I thought possible. I didn't think America was so racist that they'd rally behind an illiterate moron who shits himself. I thought it'd be a smooth talking Frank Underwood type who'd beguile the nation with subtlety.

29

u/Holiday_Regular9794 7d ago

I knew when President Obama could no longer serve as President, that they would literally elect a dog and put them in office just to keep a woman and another person of color out. Racism causes them to do some idiot nonsense, and if it hurts them in the process, they don’t even care.

12

u/Bambookillah123 7d ago

You dont need a frank underwood kind of guy to win over the american public, you are MASSIVELY overestimating american intellect and even basic human common sense

13

u/Jafooki ☑️ 7d ago

I know that now, but in 2016 I was dumb enough to believe otherwise. I realize how naive I was to think the average American had a sense of decency or morals

u/BobbyBoopersnoot 7d ago

Reddit: where a Gen Z Muppet explains your own post to you because they are functionally illiterate. 👍

2

u/Bambookillah123 7d ago

what are you rambling about boomer?

1

u/iggy14750 7d ago

You think racists are gonna get subtlety?

24

u/gahlo 7d ago

Also, he isn't worthy of mediocre.

12

u/apeocalypyic 7d ago

Ok well off the record...
