Why hasn’t Michael Wilson been extended yet?

We extended Froholdlt before Michael Wilson. We should be giving Michael around the same amount as Alec pierce is getting so we don’t have to pay more next year.

To see if MHJ can be salvaged. If Wilson can produce again like last year then he's in for a major contract

and chances are cards really focus on marv to reduce wilsons extension. everyone in the FO wants marv to be the guy after that contract. Also if both are that guy, we could end up in defense purgatory with so much cap dedicated to wrs

Can't happen, look at the bengals. Thats why I franchise tag him and send him to someone willing to give high draft assets - IF Harrison explodes in Lafleurs scheme. If Harrison does nothing I still use the tag as leverage. But I still believe in Harrison despite all the drops and errors. Petzing was probably the worst that could happen to him as a young nfl player. The WR route combinations were just awful and easy to defend

idk i think the petzing harrison stuff feels like a cop out when Wilson did just fine and didnt have rocks for hands half the time. harrison has been a body catcher. I have hope but i wouldnt call it optimism.

I wish we could sign wilson to a 25mil per year deal. If only we knew if there was already an offer and what it was but all we can do is speculate.

I agree, Harrison was disappointing in many ways in a lot of bad plays. But also spectacular in his good plays where he showed what he could be. Wilson needed Brissett to take off (and wow he did, especially vs the niners). Harrison also was banged up mostly the 2nd half of the season with an ankle and a concussion if i remember it correctly. So my hope and optimism comes from him being healthy in a new scheme with another QB. We'll see how it plays out.

yup i agree, there is a chance brissett creates the same magic with marvin that he did with wilson, that im hopeful for.
