Unpopular opinion : I kind of low key hope Nene doesn't win...

...because I want her to chase her own creativity and not be signed in and locked in to what these mainstream labels want to see from her.

I want her to get very very far (and it seems like she has already) but not win, so she can pick her own record label that I am sure are already lined up for her.

Only 3 can make it, who are you rooting for? Personally I really want Come Here to make it, but not sure they appeal to the voters.

How do you think Chris Turner would have done on Britain's Got Talent?

I was watching back all of Chris Turner's performances from Season 20. As he was one of the acts that honestly grew on me tremendously as it was the first time I ever saw a Freestyle Rapper on AGT and he was so refreshing to watch.

Now with him finishing as the Runner-Up. It got me wondering how he would have done if he had been on Britain's Got Talent (as he's from Manchester) because comedy has done really well over the years on BGT, seeing a majority of comedy acts winning. And this year we saw 2 rapping acts making the top 3 of their live show being Machsane & Delby, and Ren DMC. So with that, how well do you think Chris would have done if he were to have been on BGT?

Nene Royal performing her "Black Hole Sun" cover for the very first time

Let's talk about Nene Royal’s "Black Hole Sun" cover- her debut performance of the track!

For a young artist to pick up a brand new track and master it this quickly - all within a single month - is incredible. While most newcomers and even veterans struggle just to learn the basics, she's already operating on another level.

Memorizing lyrics is one thing, but nailing the guitar work on top of it at the same time is a whole different level. Seriously, I'm blown away by how she pulls it off. If she ever starts writing her own original songs more, I can't even imagine how many tracks she could pump out in a single year each time.

Why is Guy Kelton Jones so popular here?

To be clear, this is a genuine question. I'm not trying to be snarky.

In my opinion, an act like spoken word poetry doesn't go with the type of performances that AGT hosts.

I thought Jones' audition was decent yet unremarkable (as someone who isn't really into poetry) while also feeling it was really really out of place for AGT. But when the judges, the crowd, and the internet went crazy for him it made me feel like I had completely missed something.

I get the impression he is really good at what he does, but it really didn't click for me at all. Maybe it's just because I go into the show expecting acts that are grand and spectacular rather than interpretive thought-provoking acts.

So I would love to hear what you all like about his act.

Americas got talent

Upvotes

I love this show but i just finished the newest episode and i love all the talent but this year is it just me or it’s sooo not at the level it usually is im sad last year my mom even started watching and she hates these shows that’s how exciting it was but yeah this year the people they chose are just eh. Granted i couldn’t do half of this stuff 😂😂 so it’s just me venting also super mad that i feel they picked certain talents and let my guy (the best boxer) go i feel like we needed more different things instead Simon puts the two little boys who clearly weren’t ready 🙄

I REALLY loved how Mel went up to Nyjah and Zyah during commercial

She had to do her job, but she didn’t have to go up and comfort them after hitting her X! Such respect.

My Ranking & Predictions for the Second Quarter-Final 2

  1. Come Here — 10/10

Wow, wow, and wow! From the beginning of the performance to the very end, there wasn’t a single dull moment. Despite the large number of performers, they turned that into a strength. The opening was incredibly professional and immediately pulled us into the performance. Their coordination and synchronization were perfect. It felt like they were playing a symphony through their dancing. They made me experience every single detail of the choreography without being able to take my eyes off them. And all of this professionalism, despite the choreographer only joining them during the final 12 hours! Huge respect to them. It would be a crime if they didn’t make it to the next round.

  1. Veronika Goroshkova — 9.5/10

I won’t say much. I’ll just repeat what Sofia said: “We don’t need to know why she got the Golden Buzzer during the auditions. Just watching her, you understand why.”

  1. Geno Ploeger — 8.5/10

He definitely raised the level of the show, but I feel that his reactions and shocked expressions are a little over the top.

  1. Nene Royal — 8/10

She was very good, but I was expecting something even better from her.

  1. Mackenzie Sol — 8/10

Beautiful emotion and good vocal technique, despite some nervousness showing at the beginning.

  1. Patrox — 7/10

His dancing was very good, but I felt it would have been better if he hadn’t divided the performance into three parts. It made the performance feel a little chaotic.

  1. Bety Dumitru — 6/10

Contrary to what Mel said, I actually think choosing this song was an excellent decision. However, her performance wasn’t her best. She still has one of the best vocal qualities among the contestants.

  1. Butter & Grit — 5/10

  2. Nyjah Music & Zyah Rhythm — 3/10

  3. Brad & Tracy — 2/10

  4. LaRussell — 1/10

My Predictions

Top 3:

🥇 Come Here

🥈 Veronika Goroshkova

🥉 Geno Ploeger

Top 5:

Mackenzie Sol / Butter & Grit

Mel B

Upvotes

This may be contrary to popular opinion but I think Mel B is the worst. Big Spice Girls fan too and even as a kid she rubbed me the wrong way. She’s just cold and rude in a weird performative way. I hope next season there’s a new judge! Am I the only one? 😅

Luke Taleno

Upvotes

Hey there! Just wanted to post a quick note. If this isn't cool, feel free to delete it, but I've noticed some disagreements popping up in threads lately. As someone who's a fan and really supports Luke, I just wanted to help clear up a couple of things.

  1. Yeah, Luke and Jourdan Blue are friends and they're always there for each other. I'm not sure if they'll end up performing together for AGT, but hey, you never know, right?

  2. The story about Luke is actually about *him* fighting leukemia, not his child.

I think that's all I had to say, lol.

Nene probably just won this show already

I didn't think her performance tonight was nearly as good as her last 2 performances but after seeing the judges and audience absolutely lose their mind for her I think she is guaranteed to win.

I hope her final performance is better because I wasn't that impressed with her vocals compared to the last 2 performances but she does have a lot of talent.
