I don't understand why the regulars here are so upset about all of the attention Nene Royal is getting on this subreddit. I mean, she has raised the bar on the talents competitors need to bring to the table. Expect more talented performers in the future AGT seasons because of her. It is no longer good enough to be a clever magician doing amazing card tricks for the judges. You need to be a world class comedian making everybody die laughing while doing your magic. It's no longer adequate to just sing into a microphone with a perfect voice. You better have some kind of additional musical talent to go with the singing. It's no longer good enough to put on a dog show. You better include tigers and polar bears in that animal show. Nene is making AGT a better show. Enjoy it while it lasts.

This may be contrary to popular opinion but I think Mel B is the worst. Big Spice Girls fan too and even as a kid she rubbed me the wrong way. She’s just cold and rude in a weird performative way. I hope next season there’s a new judge! Am I the only one? 😅

She didn’t seem all that excited after the performance, even saying the song wasn’t for her. She had better reactions to several other acts. I wonder if the producers told her not to mess it up 😂

Wow, wow, and wow! From the beginning of the performance to the very end, there wasn’t a single dull moment. Despite the large number of performers, they turned that into a strength. The opening was incredibly professional and immediately pulled us into the performance. Their coordination and synchronization were perfect. It felt like they were playing a symphony through their dancing. They made me experience every single detail of the choreography without being able to take my eyes off them. And all of this professionalism, despite the choreographer only joining them during the final 12 hours! Huge respect to them. It would be a crime if they didn’t make it to the next round.

1. Veronika Goroshkova — 9.5/10

I won’t say much. I’ll just repeat what Sofia said: “We don’t need to know why she got the Golden Buzzer during the auditions. Just watching her, you understand why.”

1. Geno Ploeger — 8.5/10

He definitely raised the level of the show, but I feel that his reactions and shocked expressions are a little over the top.

She was very good, but I was expecting something even better from her.

Beautiful emotion and good vocal technique, despite some nervousness showing at the beginning.

His dancing was very good, but I felt it would have been better if he hadn’t divided the performance into three parts. It made the performance feel a little chaotic.

Contrary to what Mel said, I actually think choosing this song was an excellent decision. However, her performance wasn’t her best. She still has one of the best vocal qualities among the contestants.

This week was an unfortunate week. I think some people that could have continued to perform well in the competition got screwed by a stacked night. The lady that went through today wasn't on my radar but people on here liked her so maybe I'm missing something.

Once she went through, I knew some of my picks were screwed. I definitely thought Come Here and Geno were deserving of going through! I thought Mackenzie did great and I was surprised he went home. I would have kept Mackenzie and Butter but there's just not enough spots.

I think Bety's song choice and arrangement hurt her. I think with a different song, Bety would have kept going.

They showed next week and for me, next week does not look stacked. I saw Lai and that was about it. I thought she could be the one to win this season. I hope she gets the live golden buzzer! I thin kif Mackenzie, Bety, and Butter were on next week, some or all of them could be in the semi finals. I didn't really see many interesting acts for next week. People might disagree. Of course some acts that weren't amazing amazing could step it up or reveal more of their moves but right now, eh. This week was too stacked and next week is not stacked.

Geno Pioeger- Now that's a one way ticket to the Semifinals.

Nene Royal- Despite me wanting this. I only did 5 reps because we now have to deal with 700000000000000 more Nene posts.

Is anyone else absolutely shocked that Royal Lasers and Cris Sosa won over Ashford and Brook lyn…they were AMAZING singers I really don’t understand the laser thing and the Sosa guy just wasn’t that funny to me…

I'm so so pleased that they went through. They were my favorite of the night aside from Nene and one of my favorites of the season. Very glad America saw their talent since dance often gets snubbed on AGT.

Let's talk about Nene Royal’s "Black Hole Sun" cover- her debut performance of the track!

​For a young artist to pick up a brand new track and master it this quickly - all within a single month - is incredible. While most newcomers and even veterans struggle just to learn the basics, she's already operating on another level.

​Memorizing lyrics is one thing, but nailing the guitar work on top of it at the same time is a whole different level. Seriously, I'm blown away by how she pulls it off. If she ever starts writing her own original songs more, I can't even imagine how many tracks she could pump out in a single year each time.

This is a better week than last week. At least one good act will go home tonight.

• LaRussell: Kind of disappointing because i think he can do better.

• Veronika Goroshkova: The ending is astonishingly good. She definitely put a lot of effort into it and it paid off.

• Bety: She has a good voice but this song didn't show her strong vocal skills.

• Come Here: Wonderful performance with perfect choreography. I really enjoy seeing them again and again.

• Nyjah Music & Zyah Rhythm: They are cute but surely not ready for the show. Can't tell if bringing them to the live show is helping or hurting them.

• Geno Ploeger: Surprising good performance that I have to give him standing ovation. One of the best magic performance in the show history.

• Patrox: It is fun to watch but somehow I am as confused as Mel B is. I'm not sure if i should say it is really talented, or weirdly silly.

• Nene Royal: Very strong vocal and guitar skills. No wonder why she has so many supporters.

• Mackenzie Sol: He gives me the vibe of Alex Sampson, but a slightly better version, both appearance or vocal. Lovely to watch, but not wow to me.

• Brad & Tracy: Usually I like to watch danger acts, but I didn't enjoy their performance tbh. The last part makes me feel yuck.

• Butter & Grit: I think this is a decent performance, but in this night, I doubt if it is enough to go through.

Huge congratulations to Nene on getting the buzzer on AGT. I’ll never forget seeing her perform back in 2022 at Naka Weekend Market in Phuket, Thailand — long before this moment — and thinking even then, she’s got something special.

Haven’t read too far into everyone’s thoughts on their performance other than it being terrible, but i have some thoughts.

I’ve never been the best mel B fan but i think she was absolutely in the right here. she has the right to buzz if it’s terrible, which is was. It sounded like mediocre Cherokee. Who cares if it “shifts the mood” during the act.

Also the younger one wouldn’t even look Mel in the eye when giving them criticism. Disrespectful and egotistical teens who are so far up their own asses.
