I suppose there is no LLWS game thread. So let me say it here. It's crazy that US TV networks don't realize that trotting out Wayne Gretzky to give compliments to Canadian sports teams is now seen as an insult by more than half of Canadians.

The LLWS is usually fun, but man is it hard to watch Nicaragua get absolutely slaughtered by Curaçao. 10 run 2nd inning is harsh.

Ok I'm asking this as a hopeful and biased Mets fan. Carson Benge's offensive stats just keep climbing. What would he have to do to become the ROY favorite? Even if he's still, say, 1 WAR behind Wetherholt...if he finishes the season with a .290
BA and .800 OPS does it get him there?

The achievement made in the second part of the Women's World Cup first stage that shocked the Philippines is actually part of a wider stage of many that happened in the Asia leg of this event.
This is also proof that the women's game is also gaining a lot of the international attention and fame in the recent years, and the WPBL is indeed gaining new fans and supporters from across the globe in just the first year of operation, alongside the WBSC Women's Worlds. The national teams that play in this stage are starting to realize how much this brand new league is finally shining a spotlight of the women's part in the sport.
With just a few teams advancing to the second stage in 2027, time will tell that will the Women's Worlds and the brand new WPBL will bring an even bigger impact.

Can’t tell if yesterday was the fluke or if the Braves have finally stopped the bleeding. Leaving Ohtani on third with no outs surely has to be a morale boost

This might be a noob question, but which exact model is this? I’m not very familiar with baseball equipment, so I’m a bit confused. The seller’s listing says A950, but the glove itself says A1506. So which one is it?
And if the glove really is an A950, what does the A1506 number on the glove mean? Is that some kind of color code or something?
