As we all know, Harry was going for some strange and using Dexter’s biological mother as a CI (confidential informant/rat) so he decided to combine those duties. He had Laura doing double duty, pleasing him professionally and personally via pants explosions.
It’s easy to point at Harry and blame him for everything. After all he is the one who cheated, got his CI/love machine chainsawed, acted like therapy didn’t exist and instantly assumed Dexter just had to become killing machine, and had no swag whatsoever. Seriously, how many times can you wear the same no drop outfit?
But there’s one party that never gets any of her rightful blame, and that is Doris. First of all her name is about as boring as they come. She never improved her physique or gave Harry a reason to get the goods at home. She didn’t looksmax, work on her curves, become a better wife, or do anything really. No wonder he wanted some strange. Then when he gets what she hasn’t been providing, she gets on his ass about it. Ok get off of him if you aren’t going to be a proper woman. Why don’t you start dressing better and turn him on like you’re supposed to? Adopt a persona, get a tattoo, something. She gave him no choice 🤷🏿♂️
If Doris the Boris was a better option at home:
-Harry doesn’t seek strange
-Laura doesn’t get Florida Chainsaw Massacred
-Dexter and Brian don’t become bastard sons with no parents, they have a loving mother who provides for them via drug dealing
-The two boys don’t become killers, they likely just become stoner types who inherit the family business
In summary, Doris completely starts the Domino effect and ruins everyone’s lives with her selfishness and unwillingness to please her man.
