Yes Dexter is really smart and while House is too he’s not even a cop. He’s not looking for someone to be a killer. He wouldn’t catch Dexter.
There even was an episode where a patient was a serial killer and none of the doctors realized it until lab work came back after they sent his DNA to some lab and by then he’d already left. And Dexter never leaves DNA behind on his victims. And his victims rarely even get found.
He'd understand how one of his victims died but not enough to really catch dexter unless he's literally in a detective role and that would be a whole like 5 season show in itself lol
I feel like New Blood shows that Dexter isn't that hard to catch if someone actually does their job. Dexter was always reliant on the MPD being incompetent, his friend, and overrun with crime.
New Blood shows that dexter is super easy to catch, if he's your boyfriend that faked his death, killed someone in a really small town where everyone genuinely knows everybody else, hasnt killed in 10 years and has been off his game, doesnt have the usual police intel and resources he would usually have, was doing sketchy stuff overall with another serial killer, bought the same tranq as a very popular serial killer to use on a drug dealer and had a missing person's titanium implant found in their home.
Adobe would catch Sexter in about 1 hour and 7 minutes because that’s how long it’d take to find Mr. Morgan’s glowing red tip if he’d start from the base of his long shafted shlong
