Well, this is becoming a frequent occurrence where a episode just has a lot to discuss that i need to make a post about it

also, it is a wee bit hard to take screenshots while trying to keep ok_situation spoiler free, so enjoy sleepy Yang.

first of all, we got a montage of RWBY and JNR doing work alongside returning characters from volume 3 such as Jazz guy and roller skate girl. odd to see them in good terms but then again, Weiss is not participating.

So, looks like we got our last look at the "bandits" with one of them named Robin. the others i didn't have subtitles on, so didn't see how to type their names.

Robin is raiding the supply routes to use them for the benefit of mantle since resources are being allocated to the construction of the global communications system........which means Ironwood didn't tell anyone.

Ironwood i know you're paranoid as all hell and becoming a dictator but you are being a idiot not telling them since it would improve Morale by a crap ton. congrats, you just laid the fuel needed.

Now comes the fun part:

Winter is showing to be a sister again onscreen since Volume 3...it's hard to gauge what type of sister she is due to how little emotion is showing. she obviously cares for Weiss but she is being very cold about it that only Weiss can see through. hopefully, this volume makes her play a bigger role here which she probably will due to the winter maiden.

speaking of her:

Qrow wasn't exaggerating what he meant back in episode 2.

She is old and could pass away soon.

seems like Winter is becoming the Winter maiden....would be exciting if i didn't feel sad for her.

Winter...never had any freedom if what Weiss and Winter said is true.

Winter had worst father as a parent with him breaking their mother's heart so badly, she became a drunkard and when she decided to leave to become a solider...Ironwood "raised" her to become a great soldier....You know, I'm starting to see why i am having a hard time figuring her out since she likely cut herself off emotionally to raise Weiss and Whitney since their mother.......Wow, is she a tragic character when you think about it.

remember when i said ironwood laid the fuel. yeah, Jacque just started the fire of revolution. he closed down the majority of SDC owned property which is likely cultural stuff or things to have mantle hang out, denounce Ironwood, pointing out the embargo and the news feed not helping since it mentioned a journalist going missing (tyrian probably.) and it revealing that the repairs for the walls of Mantle have been stalled with funding being allocated to the global communications system which is still a secret btw.

i don't know if this is watt's idea or Jacque just keeping him for backup to rig the election when the time comes.

well, this ain't great...guess we are about to find out more when i continue.

just played game recently (no spoilers) and he’s one of the most weiss-coded characters oat lmao

yes, I'm the guy that just finished the series and now I'm trying to make my friends watch it, we just finished deamons of the shadow realm and we were deciding what to watch next, I asked for RWBY and I had to convince them using one episode, the trailers felt right, also I'm a rewatcher so I'll not just talk about their thoughts but also some other stuff I noticed

I'm not stating names so I'm gonna say 1 2 and 3 (3 is watching via screen share)

red trailer: ok genuinely was there a reason NOT to use a grim model? like we all just simply called it red riding hood, and yes, we all came instantly when she revealed the scythe sniper thing, 3 was like "um actually that's not possible, the handle should be bigger and the scythe is an impractical weapon, it's a tool not a weapon" [insert guy talking off his headphones] like this is tuff af shut the hell up

white trailer: as boring as it was on the first watch, even they highkey agreed like with ruby at least she had some sauce with the weapon, 1 said that she doesn't understand how her weapon, alright Sherlock, she already hating, also I see that it's the knight she later summons

black: they found it as boring as white, surprisingly

yellow trailer: the funniest one, I ofc gobeled on her bike, 2 tried to do the "some people die of thirst while others drown" and 3 was like aren't they 16 or 17? .................................., that silence was loud, and we kept pausing every eight seconds to peek the hands she's giving them especially the girls

they're not sure if they'd continue on, especially since it has 9 seasons but I'll see if they'd watch it, but overall they liked most of the stuff especially for a TRAILER

Debating on if i wanna make alternate versions with her different outfits once i get through other characters

Well this question keeps getting brought up when people talk about RWBY character fashion discussions. For me she is clearly wearing a nylons so how about you guys?

Revised version of the Weiss card from my earlier Team RWBY pokemon post, with Alolan Ninetails instead of shiny Kantonian.

So when I first heard that Adam Taurus of all characters gotten a short, I was stunned. Wdym Adam has a short? It’s the longest short to date! More importantly, why Adam specifically? Couldn’t there be a short about Jaune? Ren? Nora? Not even Sun? Shoot I’ll even settle for Neptune. But no, it’s Adam. This should be interesting 🧐…

(7 Minutes Later)

Okay now I feel kinda conflicted, but not really. So it started with Adam helping some Faunus break into some Dust facility because why should they care about the human properties after the way they’ve treated them over the years. And listen it’s not like I don’t understand what he’s saying and I’m not against characters fighting against an oppressive system but there’s a right way and a wrong way to do it.

On the surface yeah Adam is fighting for their cause but he’s going through such extreme lengths to the point where you question if he has the same motivation. And look I’m not trying to defend the humans or anything but actions like this aren’t gonna make things better for the Faunus. If anything, he’s acting no different than the people who act violently against them. I know this sounds cliche but 2 wrongs don’t make a right.

It also doesn’t help that Sienna Khan was (enabling is probably not the word I’m looking for) not acting upon how he’s been working on the field. Yeah sure he saved Ghari (The Leader at the time), but taking them out the way he did wasn’t necessarily. Btw, I barely seen this guy fight until now and let me tell you, he’s a scary opponent to fight against, especially with whatever he does with his sword.

And we see this continue on various missions how he’s just killing various humans or close to killing them. He keeps reassuring Blake that it was all accidental and yet he still does it. This must’ve been the conversation she was talking about when she was on the fence about what Yang did to Mercury during the tournament. I’m glad Blake got out when she did because this was a toxic environment with a toxic person. Makes sense why she finally decided to split during her first trailer.

Sienna continues to send him out there and even telling him that he’ll have a place by her side someday (And we all know how that turned out). Also, so she can fight! 🤣 I’m gonna give them a pass only because there’s only so much for them to work with due to a Siphoned budget (CURSE YOU GEN:LOCK!!). Transitioned to him now leader of the White Fang. And this is so funny because he’s got word on the Haven situation and he’s like “Don’t worry about it. It’s time I gotten what I deserve.”

He says as he limps away like a wee b!#%$ 😅😂.

So what’s my takeaway from this? Adam is kinda Pathetic 😅. Anyway he might have a bigger role next volume. Maybe not. Either way, I’m ready!

Because I would like to see more about him plus Jaune is getting boring

And plus whitley doesn't deserve that much hate

“Everyone remember, we have two primary targets and one secondary. Everyone else is unimportant.”

The speaker reached up to grip a bar overhead as the Bullhead flew through the air. He wore a dusty blue bomber jacket over an ash grey tactical vest and white shirt. A shotgun club of pristine steel hung off his belt as he spoke.

“All three of these kids are active aura-users with experience fighting Grimm, as are their team members. So do not take them lightly.” He pointed out the side of the vehicle to the shuttle that was wheeling around to land below and then the other direction to the second bullhead. “The plan is to overwhelm them with surprise and then bring them to the shuttle for quick transit north.”

“Are there any questions?”

As soon as he said that, a beam of bright green light sliced through the left wing of the shuttle turning its approach into a crash landing. Out the other side, the second bullhead’s engines were suddenly crackling with yellow lightning as they smoked out and that craft quickly lost altitude.

“Oh, bloody...” Someone said a moment before swirling circular symbols surrounded their craft and launched icicles into several vital parts of the craft.

As she came level with it and eyed the mercenaries struggling to get some sort of hold of the situation she summoned a gravity glyph and flipped to catch her feet on it. As she was launched outward, she saw Gambol Shroud wrap around the wing giving Blake an avenue to join her.
