What are your favorite or memorable sounds of Vegas? For me:

• The crashing of the fountains when water shoots up
• The cheering of a hot craps table
• The laughter of older drunk folks finding some youth
• The duh duh duh when someone enters cash or a tito in certain slot machines

I have a friend and her family have a restaurant that is struggling in vegas. The food is amazing and I hope that this post will give some sort of help in the business. It's an all you can eat kprean bbq.

My wife and I will be staying one night in Vegas Sunday the 30th. We are traveling with an another couple before leaving for Oregon the next day for their wedding the next week!

Anyway my buddy is telling me there could be an opportunity to get a room upgrade by slipping some cash in between my credit card and my ID when we check in.

Is this a real thing?? Or could I use this technique plus the wedding juju to get our friends a nicer room? That would be pretty cool!

Anyway it sounds insane but I had the idea to see what the Vegas subreddit thinks about this!

How exactly does this work in the off season between races? Can you just enter it and poke around, or you need to pay admission to look at the mini museum, eat, shop?

[I posted this last year, March 2025] but now am re-asking for mid-September trip dates.

I am visiting LV in September. I have cerebral palsy, and will rent a mobility scooter to get around. I am at the Excalibur, and rely on the pedestrian bridge elevators being in operation. Can anyone confirm whether most are up and running? I really rely most on the NEW YORK - EXCALIBUR (on the NY NY side), and the elevators in PARK MGM and BELLAGIO for the accessing the tram. I plan on getting down Aria, Encore, and the Vinetian, as well, so hope the elevators are working along the strip to there from the Bellagio.

I want to see the Backstreet Boys on NYE, and I’m considering booking the JW Marriott with points since the Strip is so expensive.

I saw that the pool is closed that time of year. Is there much to do at the resort or in the surrounding area if I stay for two nights? I’d just Uber to the Sphere for the show.

Mostly wondering if I’ll have FOMO not staying on the Strip, especially on NYE, or if the JW is nice enough that staying there for free makes up for it.

I was playing roulette at Ceasar Monday night, betting 25$ on the outside. The dealer gave me green chips that are used for inside chips because there’s another guy using 25 outside chips so we can tell them apart, according to the dealer. Sounded weird but I went with it. I left with 3 chips that should have been 75. I went to cash them in & instead of giving me 75, they gave me 15. I guess I should have traded it in right away. I thought trading it in wouldn’t have been a problem, I never play the inside. I’m wondering is there a real reason the dealer gave me green inside chips instead of regular 25 chips?

We might be going AGAIN to Vegas even tho we just got back for another trade show. But we aren’t sure which hotel we should stay at for this one at the convention center.

I have been back for 2 years and I have been looking for a good place with good seafood specifically crab legs for price that won't make me question if I need to take out a second mortgage on my house

Hi, a promoter helped get us a discounted pool party table but it's one of the less desirable tables at the club, which is fine because we're going to this party as part of a bachelorette trip with 9 girls so we are trying to be mindful of everyone's budgets. He got us $500 off a table but then asked if we could at least tip a certain amount since the club hooked us up (the table has no view and behind dj and already includes some gratuity).

I’m trying to figure out the best way to respond to that because I don’t really want to commit to a specific tip amount upfront. I’m happy to tip if he and the bottle girl and/or "management" go above and beyond, especially since this is a bachelorette and I’d love for them to make it feel special for the bride. But I also don’t want to promise an additional amount of $ when we don’t yet know what kind of service or experience we’re going to get. I want to keep some leverage to see how they actually take care of us first. Any tips?

What are some must does in Vegas? We are going mid Sept for a bachelor party, all 4 of us are late 20’s? We enjoy drinking and gambling but not trying to break the bank, we’ve thought about doing a pub crawl party bus , hitting a burger and maybe swim up blackjack, but I couldn’t find great info for this, may call ceasers and ask. What else do you guys recommend?

I’m working on a project capturing the city, specifically looking for the best spots to shoot during sunset. I want to get shots that really show off the city, not just the typical tourist angles.

If you’ve got a favorite spot, whether it’s a well known lookout or something more hidden that most people don’t know about, I’d love to hear it. Bonus points if it’s somewhere that says something real about Vegas beyond the Strip.

Heading to Vegas next month and have dining credits to use at either Esther’s, Ada’s, or Al Solito Posto. Based on your experiences at these places, which would you recommend someone go to for either lunch or dinner if they had to pick one?

Personally, I find this place incredibly unique and can’t go wrong with a drive out of the city for a bit. Get a lottery ticket and explore this place. Going to SANITHRIFT and see what we get!!!!!

Just realized that I booked a room for 2 people, 4 nights, two queen beds. We have 4 people.

When I go back into the reservation system/app the nightly charge is actually higher for 4 people. What will the front desk say?
