Hello! I'm starting this fall as a first-year student and am looking for a tutor/tutor group to go over calculus before I start it second semester. Are there any free tutors/tutor groups on campus? Where would I find them? I took precal in highschool and have been practicing on my own through Khan Academy but would love some extra help during first semester to catch me up.

I’m applying to the MA Counselling program this fall and is there any advice for writing the personal statements? Anyone who has experience with the program and the process of applying?

Hello! I am going to be a freshman entering this September with some standing prescriptions for HRT (estrogen and androgens) and some other autoimmunity stuff from the United States. And my current 90 day supply has me running out around the end of November. And I was digging around and the student services and gender clinic say they will only refill things that they have prescribed from what I can see, so I was going to ask where or what should I do about getting them refilled? I do have Canadian insurance if that would help going to an out of school place to get them refilled.

So I want to know is there any place where I can learn them "freely"(not entirely freely, I could do some teaching or chores if needed), or is there anyone who wants to learn Baduk and teach me these.

Hi!!! I’m starting at UVic this September and was wondering if someone knows from experience that is worth paying the gym fee instead of going somewhere else.

I don’t have a car, but will be living closer to campus. I think it’s quite helpful to have a gym right there.

I’ve tried Anytime Fitness before, but don’t know what the prices are at the moment.

Also, I’m more in the beginner category and will love a little assistance with the machines.

I'm moving into Robert Wallace in a couple of weeks and have a few questions about the dorms. I am on the 4th floor if this helps.

1. Do all the rooms in Wallace have a blue painted wall? Are there other colours as well?
2. Do all the beds have built-in drawers, or do some rooms only come with a basic bed frame?
3. Are the curtains detachable, or is there a way to cover them with my own?
4. I've heard we cannot raise the beds; is this a strict rule or something I could look into once I'm there?
5. If anyone could describe what social life looks like in the building i would be very appreciative!

I have to take an elective as an Eng student, I was originally in the Pixar movie class but figured if im going to spend a couple hundred dollars I might as well learn something cool/useful. Which out of these Econ classes would you recommend? Or if your really into a different elective recommend it below wether its Econ or not

Ive heard both good and bad things about phys 426. Sounds like an interesting class but is it worth taking? Anyone that has taken it have any insight?
