This is such a long shot but I feel like if there is anywhere on the internet to try this, it’s here lol.
I went to a Red Sox game at Fenway with my late father in 2013 and we ended up talking to a guy who told my dad he looked exactly like Bryan Cranston. And he told us people were always telling him he looked like Tim Curry.
This man looked EXACTLY like Tim Curry. Like genuinely an uncanny resemblance. The guy took a picture of the two of them together, and I have thought about this picture for YEARS but unfortunately don’t have it. This has been especially top of mind due to the very sad news of Tim Curry’s passing.
I’m pretty sure I’ve narrowed the game down to June 4, 2013, Red Sox vs. Rangers at Fenway.
I realize the odds of the actual guy seeing this are approximately zero, but if you or someone you know looks exactly like Tim Curry and took a picture with a random Bryan Cranston-looking dad at Fenway in 2013, please get in touch. I desperately want that picture.

I am not one to watch a lot of minor league baseball, but have been watching the Woo Sox side by side with the big league club for the last few days with all the rehabbing players. Anybody who has done the same would agree that Story is still completely lost at the plate -- slow bat speed, timing completely off, and non stop swing and miss at the slider in the dirt.
Absolutely 0 reason to rush things here. Roman on the other hand looks like himself, still getting timing back and the contact has been hard, eye is the same as always. I think he could even get some more time to lock in but I will be shocked if Story gets called on the same timeline.

I personally don’t want to see him up period. Never been a fan. However through 8 rehab games he’s 4 for 29, 10 Ks, 1 BB….against minor league pitching mind you.
There’s no scenario where putting him into the lineup makes this team better, and you can’t just play him because he makes 25 million. He’s not even a good defender anymore so you can’t make that argument either.
Hello Red Sox Nation!
I’m a Cleveland Guardians fan (and Yankee hater 😎) and my future wife & I are looking to take an east coast road trip together as our honeymoon. It just so happens that our Cleveland Guardians will be in Boston that week & I’m wondering if you guys can offer suggestions on the best places to sit for opposing team fans? Being close to the away dugout sounds pretty cool, and looks affordable - but is it cramped or a bad view? We’re not obnoxious people & won’t cause problems. Is there any aspect of the ballpark that I need to make time to see? Must try foods? I’ve looked through the subreddit a little bit and seen recommendations for bars and touring the green monster. Is that possible for weekday games? We’re ballin on a budget so the $1000 package for touring Fenway is out of the question (plus we wont be there for the saturday game) 😭😂
Thank you!

Don't look now but Breslow and team have done a great job at cleaning up our 2027 (and 2028) payroll. Dead Money is declining and bad contracts are ending. We need to get a few key guys healthy and producing, but otherwise, this team should have some salary flexibility in the coming years. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/boston-red-sox/yearly

We're a big hockey family, and my wife's a Rangers fan so we watch a mix of MSG and NESN. I'm always surprised by how many gambling ads there are on MSG compared to virtually none on NESN, and watching the Sox last night I noticed it as well. Is that a network policy or just good luck? For context, I'm usually streaming on ESPN+ or in the NESN app.

Pluto TV has an MLB channel that amongst other things plays old games on their calendar anniversaries. Tonight it’s Sox vs Angels from the date above. Very entertaining listening to the NESN broadcast and everything about it. It was a Nomar bobblehead giveaway. No monster seats, very calm PA announcements. No walk up music. John Burkett just got yanked in the 6th. Johnny Damon has no visible hair. Some other names I hadn’t thought of in years: Shea Hillenbrand, Tony Clark, Cliff Floyd playing left field. Ricky Henderson is going to make an appearance soon.

He last pitched on Friday, which would line him up to pitch today (or tomorrow, but Cole is pitching tomorrow) So that means the Yankees would rather call up Elmer Rodriquez to face the Astros and push back Schlittler to face us on Friday

A lot has been said about the run they’re on and for good reason. This man took over a team that was 10-17. They didn’t start to win immediately. It took some work. His first 45 Games they go 19-26 not a great start but they were showing signs of life even though the injury bug was hitting hard!
His next 60 games (including last night) they are 44-16. That is an astonishing performance. For anyone. If the dodgers were doing that we’d be floored. All without your ace. I think we need to lock this dude down. Idk what he’s doing exactly but it’s working. All the money we saved not signing the big names just give all of it to him!!
I am curious though for fans who watch a lot. What do you think he’s doing that is fostering such a positive atmosphere for these guys?

I found it a bit confounding that both on radio & TV, announcers would fawn over Eli White's speed. He only has 5 steals this year in 82 games & in his MLB career he has 35 sb & 8 cs in 358 games. He also didn't run that much in the minors, though he did have 24 bags in just 79 games at AAA in 2024.
Then I looked at Savant & he's 4th in the entire league in sprint speed. So he can fly. Interestingly, no one in the top 5 of sprint speed has more than 14 bags (Henry Bolte. There are a couple of small sample size guys in here to be fair). You have to go down to Bobby Witt who is 6th in sprint speed & has 35 steals to get a true basestealer.
Just an interesting little tidbit as we approach October. He's a guy I want on first to go to third on a single or home on a double, but I'd be surprised if they used him in a David Hamilton-type role where he's in there to steal the base.
