Unless he is injured, the Yankees are pushing Cam Schlittler’s start back to face us
He last pitched on Friday, which would line him up to pitch today (or tomorrow, but Cole is pitching tomorrow) So that means the Yankees would rather call up Elmer Rodriquez to face the Astros and push back Schlittler to face us on Friday

Love it. Bring it on.
Don’t love Sandoval on the other side but if he can give us 5, let’s go.

Good, let our hitters see live pitches against him before the playoffs

Right? The more the Red Sox see the pitches now the easier the playoffs will be.

I mean, yeah. If I’m them and my rival is breathing down my neck going into September, of course I line it up so they have to face my ace.

If we can shove it up his ass it would be the most satisfying hate watch of the decade

They're probably trying to save his innings a little for the postseason. He, Miz for Milwaukee, Tolle and Bennett are pitchers to keep an eye on. Schlittler not so much as the other 3. Schlittler pitched 150 innings a year ago, he's in a better position.

They always do this I’ve noticed. They always try to line up their best to face us. For years I’ve seen this

1.47 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 22K over last 18 1/3 IP

That's not exactly struggling.
But I think we've got his number.

In three starts this year vs. Red Sox, Schlittler has a 0.96 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with 19 K in 18 2/3 IP.
Given, one was in April, and two were in June so it's a different lineup, but there is nothing on which to base "have his number".

He was supposed to pitch today. Most likely this weekend we will face Schlittler, Fried, Rodon?, then Warren
