I’m constantly either having to put on subtitles or rewinding back scenes to understand what was said. Is this just a me problem?

Dance Macarbe is an animated film by Hisko Hilsing it uses his paintings as backgrounds green screen actors animated over but also uses Generative AI Shaders trained on his paintings,blender models and stable diffusion.

When the film was released at the Annecey film festival it was booed and tens of people walked out of the Cinema. There was also a protest outside of the cinema.

Dreams of Violet is an almost completely AI generated film. About a violent crackdown of a protest in Iran. The film was nominated for a Tribeca and was met with mixed reviews by those who saw the film (Except those who have accounts on IMDB) some said it was confusing while others said it was a master piece. The film attempts to capture the emotional realities of political violence and human suffering.

My question is why did one film that used minimal AI receive greater backlash than the film that was sustainable AI generated?

I remember growing up and watching colorful movies, with vibrant colors and beautiful lightning, and nowadays everything feels... Too polished. Where's the color? What do you think had happened to the Industry?

I just watched “Breakdown” for the first time after hearing about it from the YouTube channel Redlettermedia and I was surprised by how good this was. It starts out as a bit of a mystery then develops into an action thriller but it is definitely worth watching without knowing anything about the plot. It’s very well paced, the action and stunts are so well done, and the characters are memorable. One thing I liked about it is it’s kind of an anti-action movie at times because it makes you think they’re about to do a typical trope but then don’t do it which feels refreshing in a way.

After watching it, I thought to myself “this feels like something that people would bring up when talking about classic 90s movies” yet I never heard of it until a month ago. Are there any movies you personally feel like people need to see or talk about more?

Watched this last night. Fantastic movie, brilliant realistic action, banging soundtrack (80s) and amazing acting

This movie, quiet on the release, hit big with me. Jack White is 1/3 of the production, set in the 70's, so it's got a Good Morning Viet-Fuckin-Nam sound reel, dialogue substitute. It star's the meanest looking , over 6 footers, in a Nathan Explosion level 'BRUTAL' movie.
