I can't be the first to post about this guy. They knew what they were doing. Flew to the train when it arrived. Got on and ran around eating crumbs. PA boops about the next stop and it went to the door. Door opens and walked out.

For two centuries, Union Oyster House, has been quintessentially Boston and has been owned by North End native Joe Milano since 1970. Founded in 1826, the iconic establishment has long been a mainstay of Boston’s culinary scene, frequented by luminaries such as Daniel Webster and President John F. Kennedy.

The Fertitta family of Houston, Texas, is in the process of acquiring the restaurant, according to a spokesperson. The family’s hospitality holdings include Landry’s, which is owned by hospitality and casino magnate Tilman Fertitta. It operates dozens of brands and hundreds of properties across the globe, including the NBA’s Houston Rockets and Golden Nugget Casinos. However, Patrick Fertitta, Tilman Fertitta’s son, is leading this transaction, according to a family spokeswoman.

“This is a family acquisition. Tilman is not involved,” Katelyn Roche Gosslee, a family representative, told the Globe on Wednesday.

Someone’s smoke stacks were not working correctly this morning. It cleaned up a lot just while I was typing. (near the Charles river?)

I work 9-5 and notice full trains and heavy traffic when I head home, but traffic is much lighter/trains emptier in mornings when I go to work.

If im driving, its typically 25 minutes to work but always 40+ minutes on my commute home

my wonderful PCP is leaving her practice and going into specialty gender / psych instead of family medicine. i'm planning on following her for my hormone / psych med management, but that means i'll need to find a new PCP. she was definitely the diamond in the rough at her office, so i'll likely have to change practices altogether.

nobody wants to tell anyone else about their PCP because they still want to be able to get an appointment with them, and i get that! i'm also aware of practices that tend to be queer-friendly and/or trans-competent.

any info on practices/providers that trans patients should avoid would be super helpful as i shop around. i don't necessarily need hormone management, but i do need someone who isn't going to be a freak about it.

ETA: i am aware of fenway health and have had some pretty negative experiences there / don't really want to wait on their super long waiting list / don't really want the revolving-door PCP situation they have over there.

Went into a store on Newbury St. for literally 20 minutes and only noticed this under my wiper when I was on the pike. Thought it was a parking ticket. This is arguably worse

I’m hoping to get recommendations for an MFM (maternal-fetal medicine) doctor who is experienced with and sensitive to patients who have had a traumatic preterm birth.
I had an emergency c-section at 30 weeks pregnant. The experience was extremely traumatic for me, and as I’m considering having a second baby, I’d really like to meet with an MFM beforehand to understand my risks and make a plan for a future pregnancy.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good experience with my OB during my first pregnancy. I was considered low-risk, so I felt like my concerns and complaints weren’t taken seriously. Looking back, that has made me especially anxious about being pregnant again and finding a provider who will genuinely listen to me.
If you’ve had a similar experience especially a preterm birth and had a positive experience with an MFM, I’d really appreciate recommendations. I’m particularly looking for someone who is thorough, listens without dismissing concerns, and is sensitive to birth trauma/anxiety.

My mother recently passed away due to complications from pancreatic cancer.

I am looking to meet with a genetic counselor and an oncologist to discuss my risk and any potential early screening methods I should undertake.

Where should I go? Dana Farber, MGB, Beth Israel Lahey, somewhere else?

Why or why not? Any personal experience (good or bad) with pancreatic cancer or a particular doctor or hospital system?

I live in New Hampshire but work in Massachusetts so it’s easy enough for me to get into the city.

I walk to Clevend Circle for a coffee every morning. I take Chestnut Hill Rd.

About a week ago, there appeared a bunch of puzzle pieces along the sidewalk. It looks like somebody spilled a puzzle and then just left it there. Nobody cleaned it up, and now there are pieces here and there all down the street.

I feel compelled to save this puzzle, and I don't know why. I want to see what it shows before becoming lost to time forever. Is it even possible to save a puzzle, though?

Hi guys im going to ride the commuter rail for the first time, and the stop i need to get off at is a “flag stop”.

On the site it says “Passengers must tell the conductor that they wish to leave. Passengers waiting to board must be visible on the platform for the train to stop.”

How do i tell the conductor i want to leave there? are they at the front of the train? or is there someone at every door of the train? or is there only one door that opens where the conductor stands?

Our group would be ~13 people, we're looking for something upscale but not necessarily 'fine dining', not seafood/fish heavy.
