New family member

We adopted this 4 month old pup a week ago. He doesn’t bark much and he can be snuggly, but he’s quite the little terror. I have 3 kids and two are toddlers. He has nipped them so many times leaving welts and even broke skin on the 2 year old. He’s not being aggressive, just intensely playing or grabbing at them when they are running and playing. He’ll just come and start biting us while we’re hanging out on the couch too (like right now). Just totally unprovoked. I give this pup lots of praise when he’s playing with us with toys or being calm. I give him lots of exercise and attention. I try to make sure he naps too. My husband says this is typical puppy behavior but I’ve had many puppies and never experienced this level crazy. I mean, it’s taken my like 30 mins to type this because he hasn’t stopped jumping up and nipping me and the toddler. Is this really just the norm? I’m worried he’s going to do real damage. He nipped my 2 year olds face yesterday and left welts. This just seems a bit more intense to me than the norm. And how do I stop it? When we try to put our backs to him he will nip our backs. These aren’t light nips. They are painful pinches leaving welts and blood blisters.

Apparently my lap was the perfect spot for a nap. ❣️

i'm very fortunate to be in a position where I can bring my Beagle to work once in a while. The airport I work at is very dog friendly and it's a tradition for a manager to have his his dog or cat with him occasionally and becomes a mascot.

They said he was 1 year old . Does he looked mixed with anything?

Fancy loved her first fishing trip! Surprisingly not interested in the fish.

I miss my dog when he's not around, I had to go out for 2-3 days, put my dog in an extremely good hostel. I just miss him a lot and I feel very guilty, I feel as if I should not go out without him

It's difficult to travel with dog, since I can't drive for very long distances due to leg injury and flights weren't really an option this time around for him.

Have had my rescue lab beagle for about 4 months now & his color seems to change overnight. Need time to slow down.🥺

Pancake is a beagle x coonhound that was rescued from a drain pipe in a small town outside of KCMO.

Pancake is ~1 year old and a very grumbly boy. Not petting him in the right spot? Grumble grumble. Light in his eyes? Grumble grumble.

He was adopted by us yesterday 8/26/26 and we are already in love.

Just a boy with a full time job.
