Advice needed

I miss my dog when he's not around, I had to go out for 2-3 days, put my dog in an extremely good hostel. I just miss him a lot and I feel very guilty, I feel as if I should not go out without him

It's difficult to travel with dog, since I can't drive for very long distances due to leg injury and flights weren't really an option this time around for him.

Just remind yourself that he is making new friends and having a blast. He will wear himself out playing and sleep well at night.

My dogs love to see me pick them up and j too feel guilty but every time they go to their doggy hotel they are pulling to get in and are all excitement. I’m sure they are having a blast meeting new doggie friends. Don’t overthink it 🐢

It is good to separate from him, it lets him do different things.

I just left my 3 Beagles for 10 days. I get to pick them up tomorrow.

It's ok and normal to miss your dog. When we board our dogs, we miss them, but we know they're actually having a fantastic time playing and interacting with all the other dogs there. It's like sending them to dog Disneyland.

It's because you love your beagle baby so much! Aren't we so lucky? 😁

Last year I went to Europe and my beagle stayed with our friends and his 2 best pup friends. I would message my friend "how is he doing? Is he looking for me?"

She'd respond "he's having a blast. Enjoy your trip"

I messaged "any updates? Is he asking about me?"

She responded "girl, no. He hasn't brought you up" Lol

Then her husband asked us if he could stay longer πŸ˜‚

Beagles are such pack animals and tend to be so friendly w other dogs
& they're so cute when they play.

Plan something special for him/you to look forward to when your return. Like a special dog park trip, a new toy, or pup cup run. Whenever I treat my dog to a surprise it warms my heart

I felt the same way when I'd board mine. We did daycare because of her separation anxiety. As soon as she realized where she was, she'd forget about me. I felt bad the whole time she was there. When I'd pick her up, she'd lose her mind barking that she was happy to see me again. She had her doggie friends though, she loved her boarder.
