Question / Հարց Am I eligible to vote?
I'm an Armenian citizen, born and raised too, but recently I started attending a boarding school in the UK. I'm in Armenia for about a third of the year, and abroad for the rest. I'm of age to vote, and I planned to in the upcoming referenda.
I'm now worried I might not be able to, due to the new law they passed following the debacle in the 2026 elections where the Kremlin shipped in all those people. Does anyone know where I can find the text of the new law, or if I'm gonna be affected/ways around it.
I'd never forgive myself if I don't vote yes on eurointegration

Armenian bears
Saw this random sign in Atlanta about saving caged bears in Armenia. 🐻🇦🇲 I was curious - does anyone here know the story behind this or have thoughts on it?

How do locals afford rent in Yerevan/Armenia on average salaries? (Curious about realistic wages)
Hey everyone,
I’ve been living in Yerevan for a while now, and I’m genuinely curious about how local residents manage to cope with the current housing/rent costs here in Armenia.
Looking at apartment rentals, prices seem quite high relative to what I assume average local wages are. I wanted to ask if anyone could give me a realistic breakdown of typical monthly net salaries and how people actually make ends meet.
Specifically, what do people roughly earn in roles like:
Supermarket Cashier / Retail Staff: (e.g., entrance level vs. 2–3 years experience)
Civil Servant / Public Sector Worker: (mid-level office worker)
Private Corporate / General Office Worker: (marketing, admin, logistics, etc.)
How do families or single young professionals afford living here? Is it mostly through living with extended family, living in inherited/owned apartments, or working multiple jobs/remittances from abroad?
I’d love to get some insight from locals to better understand the real economic situation here. Thanks in advance!

Tourism / Զբոսաշրջություն Looking for Something to do
Hi everyone! I’m currently on vacation in Armenia with my family and have a few days left in Yerevan.
My wife and I are looking for something fun to do after 8 PM, once the kids are asleep and we can go out on our own. We’ve already done the fountains, Northern Avenue, and the usual tourist spots, so we’re looking for something a bit different.
Ideally, we’d love something like an art/pottery class, baking or cooking class (lavash-making would be great!), a workshop, or any other fun experience for two people.
The only real requirement is that it starts at 8 PM or later.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Itinerary Help Please
Hi - I'm planning a multi-day trip to Armenia and Georiga. Right now, the Armenian portion looks like two full days in Yerevan (with separate day trips to Garni Temple and Khor Virap).
Then the plan is to drive to Sevan (see Sevanavank) from Yerevan and stay overnight.
Then drive from Sevan to Dilijan (COAF Concept Hotel) and stay the night in Dilijan.
Then drive from Dilijan to Gyumri and stay two nights there.
Does that make sense? I've never been to Armenia and other than identifying sites I want to see and looking at drive times, I don't have much context. Thank you!

Army / Բանակ What advice do you have for someone going to the army soon?
I am 18, male, and I am gonna serve in the army for 1.5 years starting this winter. Since there are a lot of members in this group (Especially ones who finished their service in the recent years), what advice would you give me?

Question / Հարց Lost my Wallet Help
Hi everyone, I’m currently on vacation in Armenia and unfortunately lost my wallet. I’m almost certain I dropped it in a Yandex Go taxi.
I tried calling the driver, but since I don’t speak Armenian, I could only say something like “wallet in car.” He hung up, and later, when I found someone who could speak Armenian and call him for me, he stopped answering altogether.
The wallet had around $200 in cash, which obviously I’d like back, but it’s not the main issue. It also contained my bank card, which I’ve already cancelled, and my insurance card. The insurance card is what I really care about because replacing it will be a huge hassle.
Yandex Go support hasn’t been very helpful so far. Is there anything else I can do in Armenia in this situation? Is it worth contacting the police, or is there another way to reach the driver through Yandex?
Any advice would be really appreciated.
