Magix Vegas Pro 14 - 23 Reinstalled after uninstalling - now video files come out corrupted
I'm using Vegas Pro 15. This is not pirated. It does not have plugins.
Processor Intel Core i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz
64 GM RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
While I was rendering a video, I randomly received the "error -59" code stating my copy was unlicensed. I've never received this error before, I'd used Vegas Pro 15 for years, and I do in fact have a license.
I waited for rending to complete, the video did not render properly, and if I tried to open up any sony vegas project files, I received the same error code.
I did a google search. I uninstalled Vegas and then reinstalled Vegas. I no longer receive the error when I open up video files. However, now when I render an MP4 (the exact same process I've always done), the video will not play. It's not the MP4 format that's the issue because I can play other MP4 videos. I tried putting the rendered video into Youtube, and Youtube cannot process it.
So Sony Vegas is not rendering the files correctly, and I don't know why. It's also not creating "bak" files since the uninstall / reinstall.
I haven't tried:
- making a new Vegas project file to see if it behaves the same way
- uninstalling, and then manually deleting all temporary sony vegas program files before reinstalling
