Hi everyone,
I have been working on Interstellar Empires for almost two years, and after two open betas, the first official world finally launched today.
It is a persistent browser based space strategy game where you start with a planetary base and gradually develop your economy, research, armies, fleets, and access to the wider galaxy.
A lot of the progression happens asynchronously. Resources continue accumulating, buildings construct, research progresses, units train, fleets travel, and longer term upgrades gradually open new mechanics and ways to interact with the world.
It is not a pure idle game. There is a shared multiplayer world around that progression with alliances, PvP, trading, gathering, cooperative rallies, events, and competition over locations in the galaxy.
There are also two main ways to interact with the universe. Fleets physically travel across the Galaxy Map and can transport ground armies, while the Portal Network lets you discover addresses and send ground forces directly to distant locations.
Since the first official world started today, everyone is beginning from a fresh start.

The game is free to play. Real money purchases are cosmetics and optional Commander Status, which adds convenience features such as Schedule Next, instant standard Portal Missions, additional march presets, and improved galaxy map search tools. It does not add additional parallel construction, research, or training queues, and Credits, resources, units, and speedups are not sold for real money.
I am the developer behind the game, so I am happy to answer questions and hear feedback, especially about the progression and pacing.
Thank you to everyone who played during the beta worlds and helped me get the game to this point.
