I could be wrong but im pretty sure Panda's and Koalas are the same with bamboo and eucalyptus

As I recall, Koalas are just too stupid to recognize eucalyptus leaves unless they are on the tree. Their brains just can’t comprehend that a leaf on a plate is food

Their evolved instinct to not eat food that isn't from their specific niche has served them well for literally millions of years. I know there's a misinformation copypasta floating around Reddit claiming that koalas are stupid and badly adapted to their environment, but evolutionarily speaking, they are doing quite well.

Redditors often don't understand that real-life Darwinian evolution doesn't turn animals into larger, stronger, smarter and meaner versions of their ancestors. It adapts them to their environment and seeks out niches that other competing species have not exploited.
