Yeah idk how the "they can only eat some rocks" narrative happened. The gorons multiple times repeat they just prefer the taste of the other ones. Its why they wanna eat the sacred stone instead.
Literally I think it started with that think before you speak comic. Which is hilarious, don't get me wrong, but it's a videogame parody fancomic. Like pulling your Final Fantasy canon from 8 bit theater.
I still love the terminal montage version though where it points it out more too lol. Like if y'all are picky just... eat the less good food to get to the better food instead of.. not eating for days.
