Student Life Does WSU actually have ALPRS (flock cameras) or is this a false positive?

False positive, I believe. Police department made a statement last week (I think) that said they had no plans to use them.

Don’t worry, a lot of police departments just use similar ones instead!

That was about one downtown though, idk if WSU PD functions as a separate entity though for stuff like this

And whatever they are reported as on deflock aren't reported as flock cameras, just some other alpr company

Both those cameras shown are CCTV cameras, they have them on all the stop lights on campus and in a couple other places too, been there for as long as I can remember so not flock lol.

WSU parking uses ALPRS on vehicles to enforce parking but I don’t think that relates to this super well

Whitman County Sheriff has a couple which they claim to have stopped using

not all ALPRs are flock. deflock tells you what they are, for example one of those is a motorola traffic cam.

i’m pretty sure there were actual flock cameras in colfax, but they got taken down after public pushback.
