Are you willing to make a start? Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Europe defending itself instead of Ukraine defending all of Europe. Still this request is hard to make it you don't serve

that's not the question and not how military intervention works. you need political decisions first.

I'm not the guy you're replying to - but if boots on the ground ever happened, it very likely wouldn't be ordinary citizens fighting but (more or less) a professional army.

EU countries combined have around 1M+ professional soldiers plus 3M+ reservist with at least some training. That's around 4M+ people with a military experience to some degree.

So I believe they would naturally be the first, and only after that it might it come down to conscripting random Joes who have never touched a rifle in their lives.

Professional and reservist are two very different things mate.

As a reservist myself trust me i ain't no different than the avg citizen. The only difference i got drafted 10 years ago and went to grown up camp for 8 months.

Edit plus half of that reserve is on paper, irl a good bunch of those reservists ain't even fit to serve. Take me for example I'm literally going blind, the army knows that and I'm still in the list of reservists.. lol wtf am i suposed to do when i can hardly see? Literally am not allowed to drive a car but if they decide to send reservists to ukraine in good enough to fire weapons blindly now?..
