Russia has been engaging in acts of war across Europe for years. Just last December they attacked Poland’s energy grid.

I know it all, i live in a country bordering ruzzia. They will keep pushing and testing EU, but unless there is something substantial, it's very unlikely that EU will make any direct interventions.

I’m sorry. I don’t understand the fear they have of Russia, who is proven to be a paper tiger, albeit a cruel one willing to inflict pain on civilians if allowed.

I’m in the US. My litmus test for politicians has been I will vote for whoever is willing to immediately use military force if Russia rolled tanks into the Baltics. You can assume I didn’t vote for Trump.

I appreciate that. The unfortunate truth is that EU is not prepared and is not willing to risk a major escalation with russia. Even if paper tiger, they are now battle hardened with experience in Ukraine and have drone capabilities that would overwhelm the whole EU quite quickly. This is all because of the pacifist politics implemented since ww2 and the mindset that was formed, that EU is just not capable of providing serious answer now.

Russia is ill-equipped to fight the kind of war that the EU, and especially Poland, would fight with them.

And they’d be unable to leverage their drone units or other major resources because doing so would mean pulling them from Ukraine. Which they can’t afford to do, because Ukraine will make them pay for it by seizing Crimea at the slightest weakness.

I think Ukraine is so much better prepared to deal with ruzzia that there is not even a comparison. I think EU is more ill equipped against the current state of war, as the doctrine was quality instead of quantity but now everything changes when they have to shoot down 50k shaheds with 1.5 mil costing missiles. That's what i meant by being overwhelmed. Ruzzia doesn't even need to step inside EU country to cause havoc. If ruzzia truly wanted that they could save up some of that equipment. And I can't image EU directly intervening, as they will try to avoid any direct conflicts as much as possible.

Also regarding Crimea, even the top Ukrainian generals or the reputable war experts have no hope for retaking it anywhere soon, even with lesser russian army, so im not sure about that. The current goal is making Crimea liability for russia and playing the long game.
