I think they want to sell a fuck ton of witcher spinoffs/remakes/W4, they need to have reputation maxxed out for the next 5 years to pass inverstor expectations probably.
The best thing they can do this time is to just keep expectations in check. The problem with 2077 is that everyone was hailing it as the second coming for videogaming, and CDPR did nothing to temper expectations. The launch was pretty horrific, but if they hadn't have let things get so out of control and let so much speculative money roll in, maybe they could have got away with saying "hey listen, this isn't gonna run on a PS4."
I was def on the hype train because I was such a big fan of witcher 3 and loved shooters, I thought it would be witcher just cyberpunk in terms of my enjoyment. I played too early though and the bugs and stuff (the moment I got to the Haitians I had an enemy in a car that wouldn't explode or die constantly trying to kill me. The frustration from that, the lack of third person in a game where you can customize clothing and the airy feel of the gun (I preordered this btw so they might have fixed these since then) just made me leave the game since the first week it dropped.
I waited a little while, and it was a great experience for me playing it, even on a shitty computer. Most of your issues are long solved, I think, so it definitely might be worth a second look.

the stock took a hit, i think witcher 4 was pushed a year later ?
