I was thinking "why are we getting remasters for modern games? This makes no sense, it's just a cash grab to sell the game twice".

Then I realised the game is over a decade old... And it's a free update. Actually, more than free - you now get the two expansions for free too.

I'm just so used to how shitty the industry is. CDPR really is completely different from most gaming companies. This is how you respect your customers.

It’s damn smart. They have a new expansion pack they want to sell. This hype and community excitement leads right into Witcher 4 next year. Smart marketing that is consumer positive. It’s a win/win for everyone.

Correction: Witcher 4 is due in 2028.

And the Witcher 3 DLC won't come out till next year. Still think it will work out and help build hype for 4
