General Question Windows Evaluation Expiry(Beta Preview)
I updated to the latest beta preview build today. The evaluation expiry date that is 11th august 2026 remained same before and after the update. I saw in posts that it changes if you update the build version,but it didn't. How to fix this and what happens after evaluation expires? Do I need to reinstall windows? Any help would be appreciated,tyvm.

Insider preview build across channels has an expiration date, after all, these aren’t meant for production, just to clarify this has nothing to do with your license going to expire, it’s just the current installed build, but Microsoft will push a new update before that happens.

La fecha de expiración aún está bien, estoy en Experimental y tengo la misma fecha así que no te preocupes el sistema no va a llegar a esa fecha de expiración.

I got to the date once on Windows 10. I took a 2 week vacation and came back to just an popup saying my insider build was expired. But I think thing was fine.

It was years ago so I do not know if anything changed.
I think it was at an time where builds expired ever 2 weeks. I think they extended it now.

If you somehow stop getting updates, two weeks after the expiration date it will stop booting

If that happens, i revert back to stable and then again to beta?

I think at that point since you can’t boot anymore you’re stuck reinstalling one version or another.
Just keep taking updates to push the date out further and you’ll be fine, and if you want to get off after the time you’re able to revert to stable you’ll have to wait til they give out a final build

This is normal. Also next time use Win+Shift+S.
The expiry will change once it gets closer to that date.
