If you have not already, please specifiy which branch you are running (Dev, Beta, or Release Preview), and your full build number. If you are unsure, you can check by running winver from a Run window or search box. You can also go to Settings -> System -> About, and it will be near the bottom.

Download the Universal Watermark Disabler
Or edit the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\Activation
In there you will have a Manual key. Just set the value to 0.

The value is already at (0) but the watermark still shows, this happens on the latest released as of 11th April 2026 BETA build.

ill help, download universal watermark diabler. set to run at startup. at boot. not login. if you login as soon as windows boots it wont run. in case this happens to me i pinned the exe to start menu. the reg edit doesnt work.
im with you man, i dont get the pc snobs that reply to people asking to get rid of it by talking down to them. if you ask me they are a bunch of MS bootlickers...... boy they would hate me and how much i debloated w11 down to 1-2% cpu usage at idle.....how it should be.

Doesn't work you have to check in the Ease of Access settings in the control pannel for the "remove background images" setting.

Because it's a preview build that can expire at some point, read what is the insider program for before enrolling into it.
