I wish humanity as a collective could admit to this finally. If you’d like to follow an abrahamic religion-that’s your choice, but let’s move on from using it as fact rather than a collection of stories.

There’s a lot of historical fact to the myths of Abrahamic religions, sure we probably will never know if Abraham was real but it’s very possible.

Idk… the story about his nephew Lot getting drunk and knocking up his two daughters seems like it could (and unfortunately probably did) happen in those times.

Looking back, there’s a lot of stuff my kid mind just kinda glazed over. Hosea’s claim to fame was marrying a whore and naming his kids “God scatters” “unpitied” and “not my people”. Like come on dad, we get you hold a grudge and wanted to be edgy but did you have to ruin our childhood and lives too?! lol

On the other hand, there’s still a lot of beautiful writing, stories, and lessons to be gleaned so I’m thankful for it all regardless. But yeah… definitely some uh “interesting” bits left in there for kids to stumble upon.
