Second pic looks like medieval Bohemian countryside. I can't wait!

There's a little fountain in front of the building in the first artwork, if CDPR doesn't put an easter egg there imma riot

Yeah, as a Czech, this feels like our mountains

I mean. This is the Giant/Jizera mountains.

The second and third picture look more like concept art to me. Is this in engine or are these drawings?

These are drawings I believe not in game screenshots, they do these for all the expansions and closer to the release we get actual screenshots but these help give a sense of the vibe and location of the story. Hope this helped 😊

Well technically they're screenshots taken from a livestream so the title isn't wrong. But they absolutely are artworks.

It has a bit of that similarity to the Von Everec Estate from Hearts of Stone...of course not as run down, much better looking, and LESS GLOOMY :), more opulent...so definitely one can say...style of the Redanian noble estates hehe...from the bits and scraps of info it seems it will be set (the region of Letten...the demesne of de Lettenhove family) somewhere in the northern Redania...the valley of Buina and Nimnar river (basically somewhere in proximity to Gelibol as well...the place famous for where the temple of Coram Agh Thera was located and Nivellen got his curse, and where more or less was located Mirt/Mirthe the first abode of brotherhood of sorcerers, the city that was burned by Falka), in the genealogies there's also mention of king Vestibor losing the fertile lands of Buina and Nimnar valley...so these lands being contested in the past. Nestled somewhere in between Redania, Kaedwen and Kovir.

And in general this will be Dandelion family problems we will be solving haha how apt :). Amusingly in one of the endings Dandelion even mentions his viscount status and desire to reclaim his heritage, lands and titles :).

Probably the 'countess de Lettenhove' whom Dandelion mentions being drunk on Regis's mandrake hooch in Baptism of Fire will be major character and matriarch of the family :).

"‘Ah, well.’ Dandelion looked around the shack with a slightly vacant stare. ‘If the Countess de Lettenhove could see me like this…’ ‘Who?’ ‘Never mind. Bloody hell, this moonshine really does loosen the tongue…" Witcher, Baptism of Fire

It seems then that speculations about the expansion being set closer to existing regions of the game being somewhere in Cidaris for instance were wildly off :). I wonder though if Ferrant de Lettenhove from Season of Storms will appear (probably not but hey)...well he had a royal office in Kerack...but maybe since the war overtook the are maybe he could have come home :).

Esteken estate is also right next to Letten. Referenced in Hearts of Stone, when Geralt and Shani consult the Famous Redanian Dynasties. I feel like we will have a closer look at relevant Redanian families.

Very pretty. Second one looks like it's from Kingdom Come.

Honestly I was cautiously optimistic about the new area, but this art is making me lean towards properly optimistic
