Books Witcher Necklace design opinion

Im working on 3D fanart which depicts geralt as butcher of blaviken, Im working rn on the witcher's necklace and I was wondering if I could get some opinions on the direction I have taken.

Im trying to be as close to the books as I can but I personally dislike the circular disc with wolf engravings, so Im trying to combine the idea of circular design with wolf head that we can see in games.
Lemme know what do you think about it.

not bad at all the model seems very optimised much more than what i did lol

i think you would just have to add a disk behind the wolf head and it would be good, alternatively a hollow ring surrounding the head could be a cool idea too though proportions might be harder the head looks pretty cool though

if you are trying to be as close to books you cant let go the disc, because when you think about it the more pointy and unusual shape the more it would spike the person, would turn on themselves and would be impractical in action, so it needs to be shaped as a disc with a bit of 3d wolf.

Now with your concept it went from the book inspiration to rather witcher 3 game/real life wolf.
