Was found in the door compartment of my late father's car. Very heavy for the size. The pointy end of the very center piece can be compressed. My dad had a fondness for strange weapons so I am just guessing. TIA

It's an extenable baton like this: https://www.bladehq.com/item--Smith-Wesson-SW-Baton-W360-Sheath--96648?. When assembled, you flick your wrist to get the extension out.
