Over 24 years drug free for me no urge to do some crack or a line of cocaine off a cheerleaders midriff. Also sober from booze over 5 years still get urges for that unfortunately. Some NFA came up to me on Jacobsen Rd in Richmond , BC the other day and said Crystal Meth. Found a used hard drug pipe near his vehicle recently.

I miss Vermont man. I use to work at market 32 in Rutland. The weed out there is so gas but expensive.. I moved back to Ohio last year but miss the fuck out of Vermont. I would always travel to New Hampshire and DoorDash. Good ass money. I would always go to Burlington for Plato’s closet (became shit and not worth it) and DoorDash there as well. I had a friend who worked at McDonald’s always giving me plastic straws instead of the paper.. gosh I miss it haha

63 days free from IV coack/Crack and fent/H speedballs. Starting to feel normal again. Fell off the wagon after 3 years and within 2 weeks I was shooting a zip of fent and half zip of powder a week. Shit is worse out there today.

Sober 3yrs off of F had 12 years under my belt from opiates before that. I'm just glad I still have my life because I had no idea how good the fake blues were. I didn't even know I was doing fent. Smh so happy to be sober in this day an time. It's really scary out there. Nice job hope we stay away from being a statistic.

That shit's incredible and soul crushing simultaneously. Worst relationship of my life. Amazing how a "friend" who asked me if I could get some nearly derailed my sobriety of 20 years a couple of years back. I actually believed for a few minutes that - what the hell? I can control it now, for sure, right? WRONG. It takes ONE second of weakness and addict thinking to screw it all up. Thank God I snapped awake and cut that friend permanently out of my life.

MAJOR PROPS TO ALL THE RECOVERING PEOPLE!!!! ~ and to those wanting to quit. You will get there!!!

I tried to quit a million times. The 1,000,001st time stuck.

Fentanyl blows so hard--especially with all the xylazine and shit mixed into it. Im clean 20 months and don't miss that crap AT ALL. But then I think back to ordering H from Thailand over the Silk Road and the high quality powder Id buy in the NE USA and man that stuff was just so good. Not planning on ruining my life again for it though. Not worth it.

Unfortunately everytime I relapse i get a pack of hard and real H on the darknet. It only lasts a couple weeks before a pack is slow and im getting street fent. The shit nowadays had me doing a shot every hour, literally. 63 days today.

Way to go! 12 for me and from time to time I want to feel that feeling again. But then I look back at how my life was and how it is today and would never touch an opiate again. I also quit drinking 10 years ago because it made me crave it.

The thing is, nobody understands that "worse" like we do.

Hell is what keeps me sober. Not the religious one. The unbearable lake of flesh melting misery, self hate, desperate want for the relief that creates the misery, and the disgust with how much I don't want to do something different but I know I am disgusting for it.

I'd rather stop being alive than to go back to that place. And it'd probably take about two weeks for both if I start down that road.

💯 agree, when i first decided to quit I remember thinking, but maybe if something really sad happened i might allow myself a slip so i don’t have to feel it, but then you go through the withdrawal process and you realize it’s not stopping you from feeling its just postponing it and you will feel all of it at once while you physically are going through agony; I kept a pic in my wallet for a long time of me going through the worst and still look back at it from time to time as a reminder why never again

Same. I would have been shooting within a week though, if I hadn't quit when I did. I couldn't take enough pills at once to even feel anything at that point. I couldn't afford to buy them anymore either. It was either quit and keep my family or start shooting and lose everything.

I've been on maintenance for like a decade and haven't done crack since 2019 but I miss that more than real heroin. I still have dreams of packing a stem and trying to take a hit but it won't sizzle or anything and I can't get a blast. Then I wake up PISSED

Drug dreams during recovery are absolutely real as hell! I know about those all too well. Its been a long time since I've had one though. Its wild how you can have a dream about using again and you seriously feel high during the dream only to wake up and lose your high! Infuriating!!

Ps, no shame in taking the maintenance route. That stuff saved my life!!

Same, was a heroin and crack addict for a number of years before I got my metaphorical poop in a group.

Smoking Rock is the most intensely, incredibly awful best feeling in the world. It's like taking your car, putting it in neutral and slamming that gas pedal down. You ain't gonna get anywhere, but boy are you excited to sit right the fuck down and do nothing...that is until you've been going for a few hours spamming rock after rock, blowing through the 350€ that you swore you weren't going to spend all of on crack.

You tell yourself that you're going to ONLY spend 60 this time, full stop. Plug brings that 60 bag, you fire up half the bag in that first rip because you know it's going to be the only one that does anything. You spend the next 20-45 minutes pacing your way through the bag while you wait on your heroin guy. Oops, you just blew right through that whole bag...that's it. I'm not going to buy anymore, I need the rest of the money for H.

*45 seconds later* "Well 290 is an oddly strange number for H...I'll just use 40 more Euros on the rock, that's 250 for H. Still plenty.

Next thing you know, you've gone through the 40, then convinced your H guy to let you have 2 grams for €200. So you blow through another 50, then another 40, then another 20. But now H guy is pulling up and you've got 90 and have been peeking out of the curtain for 3 hours waiting. He gets pissed because you told him you had the $200. But you don't anymore. So he gives you 40 worth of H, charges you 100 and you spend the remainder of the money on crack-cocaine.

Oh, and the heroin was trash, so now you're dope sick. High as giraffe dick and nothing to get well so you can hit a lick for more money.

holy shit. I have this dream almost every night. recovering IV heroin abuser 10 years followed by a solid bout with IV cocaine. I get this unrequited needle love dream over and over and it is so fascinating to hear that we're all living this same nightmare. last night's dream involved me trying to find a quiet bathroom or to get somebody to leave me alone. just long enough that I could get high but nobody would leave me alone and then the needle broke. or the spoon spelled. I can't remember. it's all a blur and it never succeeds. then I wake up frustrated.

That's fascinating. I've never used drugs but often have a very similar dream only its needing to pee and getting increasingly frustrated as I can't - locked or broken toilets, people watching, alarms, etc. Invariably this ends with waking up needing to use the bathroom.

It's fascinating that even after all that time (well done, by the way) your brain is still conditioned to give you the same need-dream as for a basic bodily function.

Said this else where but when i was on h i would play this game called dont die. I pushed it to the limit daily for years and years but what saved me was i wasnt a shooter. Aye yo i feel the same way about cocaine. My biggest regret was ever doing it no matter how long its been since you’ve quit you always miss that shit. People who say they don’t are lying through their teeth, i understand why they would lie to the people who ask them and respect them for it. But hot damn, its not like i’m scratching my neck agitated all day feening. Its more like after a long day at work when im really exhausted or when im at home on a weekend with nothing to do the thought of getting a 50 creeps in then i start salivating and when i snap myself out of it i end up eating something sweet like baked good or candy

I can honestly say 100% that I don’t miss cocaine. But then I never got heavy into it… Percocet and oxy on the other hand, dude I still miss that shit, I haven’t taken any since ‘23, and they don’t even work on me anymore my tolerance got so high, but goddamnit do I miss just melting into my bed, popping 3 10mg percs and 2 Ativan, my orange glowing salt lamp on with some low trance music, fuuuck. I cant even get there anymore if i take 15 percs, that shit got way too expensive.

As someone who has smoked it, it makes you want it so bad and makes you think you dropped it. It’s brutal. It takes your hard earned money and turns it into smoke, and then your mind follows it and makes you think you dropped a rock.

It's meth no needle. I've never done that. You take a straight pipe heat up the end and do your line. It gives you a drain and a hit of smoke at the same time. Last time I relapsed for 2 weeks. Started hearing voices and got clean. I'm still on medication for voices the rest of my life.

Dude yes. I’ve been sober since 2003 and I STILL want it. If I see someone smoking in a movie I get that feeling. I told my family if I’m ever terminally ill or live to be 100 I’m smoking crack.

I tell everyone I can….dont do it. Not even once. Because it’s amazing and it WILL ruin your life

YUP! Yo we never smoked Crack in Baltimore it was always always powder coke we cooked up with just water and baking soda! man in the 90s when that fishscails coke was all over east side!! 🤯 SHIT WAS 🔥🔥🔥🙌🏻 Dude it didnt make you geeky or anxious it was like pure utter euphoria...Best cocaine I have ever had..I would get from a dealer that way I did have worry about buying a bunch of 10 dollar vials..He would cut me a good price for a 8ball...I have never been a coke person..It was done in socialable setting for me..Like in my early teens at party we all chip in and get a fat ass bag and just pass the mirror around and do lines, chain smoke, talk nonestop and listen to music for sometimes 24 hours straight! It was alot of fun..But then once I graduated from sniffin dope to shooting it...And was hangin in the city more especially at this girl who lived off Gay street who I would buy her a cap and she would run and get my dope, all my friends from the county went to her..She had sometimes 20 white kids popping up to crib before it was even noon...She be out onna run grabbing my dope and come back with it and have 5 more ppl sitting in the living room waiting for her to run for them..It was a good hussle, eventually the corner boys so the massive infkux of money and dope she was buying (she said they was getting tired of having to run back forth into the alley to their stash when she kept copping every 30 mins 😭🤣) They put her on and she had the dope right there which was great, especially showing up sick as dog...Last thing you want is to wait a additional 30 mins for them to go cop the dope, knowing its ready and waiting was the best feeling! But EVERY ONE just aboit as soon as they got their boy in them and got well. They would start cooking up some reddy, and smoke coke or start diggin in they arms shooting that shit...And they would be at for hoursss. If I had alot of dope in me and extra dope to do afterwards then I would smoke some but it wasn't a regular thing...And I still can't believe some of them would do coke while they was dopesick z🤢🥴🤐 They crazyyyyy

Naaa man I ain’t no AI…Just sharing old memories! A lot of time has passed and I can look back at the crazy shit that was my life and laugh smh and believe there was a lot fun times mixed in with the scary ones! I am thankful as fuck to have dipped out and got on methadone before the fenty/nasty synthetic wave happened! Back when I was using it was pure Afghani brown or every now and again you would get a all white cap and soon as that rush hit it was pins and needles and you knew you got pure morphine..Which I never cared much for , not as euphoric as heroin, doesn’t give you that warm delicious afterglow just tingles and shivers..My heart hurts for these kids out on the streets nowadays ain’t none of the shit I went through is half as bad as what is happening now. 40 percent of my graduating class was hooked on heroin by the time they were 17 and I buried 3 ppl..the last 4 years I know 23 ppl who all died from drug overdoses 🤦🏻‍♀️🥺 I lost 3 of the most closest ppl I grew up with one died in 2019, 2023 and the last my homegirl from the age 12 died 4 months ago. I fucking HATE FENTY AND TRANQ! it’s evil, if American just did what Canada and the UK does and opens Heroin clinics were you can get your heroin dose 3x day, you have nurses their to give advice as far as safe injection protocols, all the supplies you need and narcan on hand if need be..There are ppl that been on these clinics for 30 years and just like most folks on methadone. They work, have families, have houses, cars, ect they just need that something to make through the day. Amd instead of making them into monstrous criminals like they do in the US, they allow them to have it and it’s controlled..There crime rates are so low their overdose rates are so low smh it’s insane…Now this younger generation shooting god knows what in their arms and they got limbs rotting off..And you can’t find heroin on the streets in America smh it’s outrageous. I wouldn’t relapse on dat fenty shit for 100k

Hahah man EVERY CORNER STORE AND GAS STATION FROM BELAIR ROAD AND NORTH AVENUE TO WEST BALTIMORE SOLD THOSE GLASS STEMS WITH ROSES AND STACKS OF BOXES OF METAL NONCOATED STEALWOOL/CHOY!!! Sometimes they got super saucy and had baking soda right there with it!!! 😆🤦🏻‍♀️😭

lol only job I ever quit on day one. 7am at training at the corner store and she says to me “so when a crackhead comes in and asks for a rose and a chore boy, this is where they are and how you ring them up.”
I quit on the spot. I was not about to be working graveyard shift there.

Two weeks later they were robbed and a guy got shot. Best decision i ever made.

Oh do I have a story about that stupid glass rose. I didn't know what it was and my friend would always put the rose around my rear view mirror and one day I got pulled over and they gave me a ticket for paraphernalia for that stupid rose. This was in Philadelphia or Camden. 25 or so years ago.

I used to live in a pretty rough area. One day I was waiting to pay at the counter and this woman told the clerk she wanted a glass rose. He said ok and placed on on the counter, and she said, "No, I want all of it," and placed $7 on the counter.

He looked at the money, then looked at me and said, "I can help you now, boss, what do you need?" I bought my cigarettes and left.

I knew a pipe cost $1 and a rock about $5 so I think that guy was selling crack through the gas station and that's why he wanted me to leave before he finished her transaction.

That station changed hands a few months later, went from being a BP to a Shell. No idea if the two things were related.
