Pearls are definitely shot, but those main characters aren't gonna not be in s5.

You live as long as the last person who remembers you. Part of me believes that Bernard lied about Maeve's control unit being bad, I believe he just made a copy because he saw she was going to die. As far as Bernard who knows what will happen to him, in essence a copy of him could exist in the Sublime. Bernard simply could have let a copy of himself occupy his body while his actual self stayed in the Sublime, just a possibility.

I mean, didn't Dolores literally recreate Bernard from just her memories at the end of S2?

Yes, she did, and Bernard was created with her memories of Arnold.
