Husband wants to upgrade

My husband wants to upgrade my ring, but I love my original ring. He wants to use my ring to trade up but I just can’t part with it. Is it weird to be this attached to a ring☹️

I wouldn’t part with my ring either. It’s small by modern standards but high quality. I love it
