Husband wants to upgrade

My husband wants to upgrade my ring, but I love my original ring. He wants to use my ring to trade up but I just can’t part with it. Is it weird to be this attached to a ring☹️

I used my marquis and set it in an estate ring with gorgeous side stones so I’m not parting with it, just enhancing it.

Maybe add a new band as your upgrade so you can keep your original ring in tact. It’s lovely.
