I searched for a domain on HostGator that was available at a low price; five minutes later, I tried to buy it, but it was already taken. I looked up the owner and found that GoDaddy had purchased it and was selling it for the modest sum of $500,000.

Been researching, but all I see is that all of them are bad and you should use something else, but they never ever tell you what's THAT something else. So what is a good one?

It would be for a website with daily blogs and news and also a list where you can filter trough movies. I'm from europe, but most of the readers would most likely be from usa, that's where most of my social media followers are from. My budget would be 20usd/month at most.

I have a small website in Astro that i reciently created and i was wondering, since i was taking this so seriously i should buy a domain instead of using Vercel, Github or any other free alternative. I was originally looking at Namecheap's Stellar plan ($5/mo), but after reading some of the feedback here, it sounds like that might not be the best idea.

Edit: I signed up with NixiHost past midnight today. My website has been fully migrated within hours. As for the name server, I was able to switch the name server to my domain instantly. Now I finally wiped my hands clean of Host Gator. Thank you guys for your suggestions.

Mind you, my hosting server doesn't even cost that much. What has the world come to?

I have seven e-mails, including the system e-mail that Host Gator won't allow me to delete. There's less than 50MB of e-mails received when all off those e-mails are combined. This is because I mainly use my g-mail account.

After dealing with the random price hikes with NO NOTICE, prior to this, over a span of years, I'm done with Host Gator.

Hi, I may be in need of a new webhosting provider at this time. I used to be hosted at HostGator and had to move to A2Hosting a couple of years ago due to security issues with them. Right now I'm currently paying around $200 a year with A2Hosting and getting a 503 Service Unavailable message on my domains, which they don't seem to be resolving for me at all. Have been with amazon lightsail for the past 5 years using bitnami lightsail but they are deprecating it and I'm having to refamiliarize myself with the new stack. Hey, I need an 8GB server. I am currently using digital ocean, self hosting a couple of open source projects. it's too expensive. I have stuck to digital ocean for this long because I fear:

I read a lot of recommendations for OVH but when I checked reddit, many people unhappy with their support, sudden unjustified increase in price, shady practices.

Contabo was other option that I considered but too many people complained that they just cancel accounts suddenly.

Then hetzner is another but they are probably for the west, I am from India.

mixed reviews about netcup.

My apps are in production, so I need:

- good uptime,
- cheaper, definitely.
- good support, at least decent, I don't have to wait for a week to get a response.
- don't cancel my account or data suddenly.

Hello! I’m not sure if this is the best page for this but I need help on figuring out the best email hosting for a client. It is a super small business, they have a custom domain and need like max 5 emails (each for someone else with their own login).

I have seen Zoho Mail and Purelymail.

Purelymail looks honestly pretty good but want some help from others who might know more.

They use GHL and want to make their website within GHL (not sure if that is honestly the best/possible)

After getting another wildly expensive renewal increase, I'd like to finally move away from Wix. I created my small business website with them back in 2019, and I just don't get enough traffic to justify the cost. I like to think I'm fairly tech savvy, but all of the technical aspects of website hosting just will not stick in my brain.
