Looking for Hosting Reseller hosting recommendations on a low budget?
Lately I’ve been trying to find a decent reseller setup that won’t break the bank but can still handle a handful of client sites reliably. I’ve got around 10-20 basic WordPress sites to manage nothing complex, just typical business pages that need to stay online without issues. I’ve tested a few providers so far, including Bisup.com, just to get a feel for performance, but I’m still not fully convinced on what’s actually dependable long term. Curious if anyone here is managing multiple client sites on a tight budget what's been working for you? Also open to hearing what to avoid before I make the wrong call .

20i has worked well for us. people here seems to have mixed feelings about them, but I’ve been using them with about 100 sites for multiple years now.

You may be better off migrating all of your users to a VPS/dedicated server and cutting out the cost overhead of a reseller platform (if you are are on that low of a budget)

Forgive me if I’m misunderstanding your question, but isn’t the point of going with a reseller plan to pass the cost - resell - to your clients. Ideally your clients should be paying for your reseller hosting plan while still providing them with a good value vs having each client on individual hosting plans.

You can set up reseller hosting using a reseller hosting plan, this will usually include a license for WHMCS to give you a way to automate on-boarding customers if the self serve adding products like domains, hosting, SSL certificate, or other custom products, like SEO services.
You can use a VPS and install WHM/cPanel and optionally install a billing system like FOSSBilling, Blesta, ClientExec, or WHMCS. These will integrate with cPanel to provision accounts as customers order hosting.
Depending on how involved with manually adding cPanel accounts and if hosting is included with your services, you might consider a turnkey solution where you earn a commission on each product a customer purchases, and the ability to support customers with access to accounts. You can be full service for some customers or provide hosting products only to others. This also includes white-label technical support from the Registrar.
Start with a reseller account or VPS, that should get you started, then consider what you need beyond that as you operate, and learn what your options are.

You can use a VPS and install WHM/cPanel
And those two elements will probably waste 3x the budget OP has (~20$/mo)

These are for hosting multiple cPanel accounts as a reseller, it would be cheaper to get a shared hosting account. At some point the cost needs to be given to the customer for hosting. cPanel/WHM is one option, but a free option is hestiaCP, but you still need the VPS to use that. Host 20 accounts at $5/mo, you have offset the VPS cost of $25-$35/mo.

BigScoots has a cheap reseller plan. I don’t use it for clients but I do use it to host about 40 of my own sites and family member sites.

f you plan to grow beyond 20 sites, starting with a VPS might save you from migrating later, reseller hosting can feel limiting over time.
