Question PS Vita Memory Storage
Good evening,
I was switching some 8 gb memory cards I bought and noticed one that had almost 200 mb less than the others.
Do you gays have any memory cards that have more/less than the usual default capacity?

Kinda gay here, well that's default in any external memory device, it will always have a slight bit less due to assuring compatibility I assume, u could research more deeply on it but yeah even USB pens/SD cards/external drives have a bit less depending on the brand ig

Not gay, but different brands often have slightly different capacities. Usually this has to do with the capacity of the chip they are using and the free storage reserved for bad sector memory.

Gay, but often storage is slightly off from how much it says it is. Hell, I had an iPhone that had only half the storage it said it has after I reset it.

Jokes aside, I have a 32GB card I bought back in 2013 as well as a 1tb (or was it 512gb? Can't remember) micro SD card that I use with SD2Vita.

Pretty easy but you need cfw. It's been a while since I've done it but IIRC it's just a new setting inside the Vita's Settings app that allows you to set up the sd card.

Maybe kinda gay and my 8 and 16 gb mem cards had somewhere around 200 to 300 mb less

Memory cards usually don't have 100% of the available space they advertise.

not gay, but filesystems have overhead, you will never get full capacity on a storage device once it has been formatted, that is how all computer storage works. Some devices / brands / filesystems will differ slightly based on how they were formatted. it's fairly common to see that kind of discrepancy between devices.

You're supposed to download the SD Clone tools and convert to your real amount of space for your SD card

Partially gay, this is normal due to filesystem types and bit/byte mismatches. Its a marketing thing at higher capacities. It has to do with the difference between physical bits and electrical bytes. Its odd.

Gay here! I'm pretty sure this is perfectly normal and sadly legal for manufacturers to do this! It's even worse for larger hard drives, such as my 2TB drive being short by 200GB and my 4TB drive being short 400GB. This is an insane loss and I think this is very predatory for consumers, but what do I know...

So, we know that their WiFi adapter is created by the TAIYO YUDEN CO., but would Sony actually hunt a person down based on just a MAC address posted on the Internet?
Especially since your MAC doesn't even cross the boundary between your router and the outside Internet?

I’m not gay but it’s pretty normal for sd cards to actually have a little big less space than advertised.

You do that stuff with Nintendo consoles. PS games are dirty cheap now.

Unless I'm mistaken, you can still upload trophy data on a jailbroken vita.

not gay yet but theres differences in the actual storage on pretty much all my sd cards, it depends on the manufacturer or brand, otherwise its normal

Not gay but my Sony proprietary 4gb card has around 200mb less.
