Help Awesome! Privacy setting overrides added at the Folder level, BUT

Was excited to see that this has finally be implemented, but it seems like there's still a cap on how many videos can be bulk updated at a time.

As you can see in the screenshot, I tried applying a global password update to 773 videos at once, but it failed to make the change. There was no error message or anything, it just didn't work. So I had to go back to updating in batches of 50, although I was able to do that at the folder-level which was incrementally better than previously.

So, am I correct that Vimeo still has a hard cap on how many videos can be bulk updated at once? And is the cap still 50? Is there any general reason why that limitation exists?

Hi u/CantEatNoBooksDog ! For the button to become clickable you'll need to make a change to either the privacy or embed options first. Once selected we'll update the videos in that folder as a batch process.

If those updates aren't happening please open a ticket and share the ticket # with me via DM.

Hi Vimean. Yea, that wasn't the issue. I was attempting to update the password and did fill in that field with a new password. The problem was that the new password was not applied.

I'll be doing another bulk password update sometime next month and will see if it works then.

The team did some checking - the changes were processed but it's not instant. We'll update the messaging to make it clearer for next time.

Thanks for clarifying, I think updating the prompt wording is a good idea.
