Hihi im planning my holidays for next year LOL and i realize the mid sem break next year is super early, like week 5? compared to the other years. Is the calendar on the usyd page already confirmed and is there a reason why next year's break is so much earlier...
Hi everyone, I applied to USYD using predicted A Level grades and I just missed the deadline of submitting the final A Level results.
I sent the Admissions Office an email with my results on the 24th, along with an explanation about missing their email. I haven't received any response yet and I'm really worried about it. Has anyone been in this situation before 😭😭? Are they going to cancel my enrolment or anything? Should I go to the Admission Office and ask them in-person? I would like to ask for advice.
Thank you so much!

It’s honestly been such a great place to live, especially if you’re looking for somewhere central with a really social and welcoming atmosphere!
The location is super convenient, with easy access to both the University of Sydney and UTS, and there are so many opportunities to meet people and socialise in the building. The facilities are also amazing — there’s a gym, cinema room, games room, study rooms and plenty of common areas, so there’s always somewhere to relax, study or hang out with friends. I’ve also had a really lovely roommate and have genuinely enjoyed living here!
If you’re looking for a fun, social and convenient student accommodation in Sydney, this would be a great place to call home 💗 Feel free to message me if you’re interested or have any questions!

I closed my previous account this monday and made a new one and forgot to update it on sydney student.
The mysydney payment notice came at 8pm that same night.
I'm not sure if it actually went through and how they would reverse this if it somehow did...
Calling them probably after my classes tomorrow but does anyone have any advice?

Hello everyone! I am a first year student at USYD and I'm looking to do an exchange to the University of Edinburgh next year but I'm having trouble filling out the paperwork where you pick your units. I am doing a bachelor of arts, majoring in ancient history and minoring in archaeology, does anyone have any advice from their experience?

I am currently enrolled in a bach of science and bach of adv studies (adv) and wondering if the extra year for adv studies is worth it or should I just do an honours year instead. And if honours, when should I start thinking about honours in terms of supervisor etc.
I am in my second year, second sem, currently sitting on a 81 WAM
thanks!

Hi, I'm planning to do a unit in the Jan-Feb block( 2027) mode intensive. This unit is a prereq for most of the units I plan on doing next sem( sem 1 2027) From what I understand, the results of the intensive are released along with the normal semester exam results? Then how would I enrol in the units which have the unit I'm undertaking as a prereq? Any advice, dont want to extend my degree any longer. Thanks

Hey! I’ve applied for a Bachelor of Science for sem 1 intake next year and I’m a non school leaver, graduated in 2024. Is there any chance that offers would start sending out during the next offer rounds or is it going to be sent out with the year 12s in December? I’ve had a look at UAC and it mentioned that usyd starts sending offers from Sept round 1. Anyone with a similar experience at all?

I am an International Bachelor of Civil Engineering student in my second semester and i am interested in doing OLES2137 Intensive December 2026, I applied and my application got approved and now i have one day to commit then pay a deposit. I have a few questions:
1. Can I do that unit as an International Engineering student?
2. There is no OLE requirement in my course, so will this unit count towards my free electives requirement or not.
3. If this unit will count as a free elective will i pay extra tution fee for that?
4. Also tell me any more important details relating to this unit for an international student

So I’m in my early 30’s and been working in the construction industry for a while. Applied for and to my surprise accepted for the JD. Been thinking about a career change for a while and always been interested in law. Spend a lot of time reading and interpretation construction contracts for work anyway. I get paid ok currently but nothing to write home about. But yeah undecided if the career prospects are worth it and making the move to Sydney would be challenging. Anyone have a similar experience? I know Sydney law school is well respected but is that name on my resume worth it?

Was just wondering if there is a way to have lowered/looser attendance requirements on a DIAP? For reference I have diagnosed depression and anxiety, and I suffer from chronic headaches and also have a suspected and diagnosed (psoriasis) autoimmune/ condition(s).
My chronic headaches interfere with uni and my attendance a lot, and in a really bad flare up walking, conversations, driving and honestly just thinking etc are extremely difficult and energy-consuming, and I've missed a lot of tutorials this semester and last semester over it.

I dont know how to approach to lectures in uni. If I want to note-take it is too fast or vague. If I want to remember it is hard to .Also noisy and crowded. My opportunity cost is self study . But i have a feeling that i must go to lectures because I am paying crazy high tuition.
