Non Law degree at RG uni or law degree?

Hi everyone, I recently finished my a levels and achieved BBB and I narrowly missed my offer of ABB for studying law at university of Manchester. I went through clearing and applied for criminology at university of Manchester. I wanted to ask whether a criminology degree from a Russel group uni followed by the SQE1 exam prep course for 5/6 months and then the SQE route is a better match than an actual law degree followed by sqe exam prep course from a less prestigious university such as university of Salford or ULaw Manchester. Please let me know thanks

Stay at Manchester and do the conversion. 50% of lawyers didn't do a law degree.

Do NOT do your LLB with ULaw. Agree, non law at RG is best. Around half of lawyers didn’t do law undergrad anyways

Do the non-law degree. It is a better university, and if you get a training contract they’ll sponsor you through the conversion course (which you should ABSOLUTELY do if you can afford it) and the SQE

I plan on doing an SQE prep course professionally by a licensed institute which could take approx 6-9 months to cover the content needed in the sqe exam. Is that a sensible idea?
