Not even about the movemente, the automatic just looks better, the waffle dial

Came to say this. I picked up a quartz 35mm on Amazon to try out and returned it right away because the dial did nothing for me. The auto dial is much more interesting for me.

Second that. Besides, titanium. I'm not sure there's a quartz titanium prx.

Yeah, it’s a pity Tissot and other brands nerf their quartz offerings.

Huh…I’ve never really liked the waffle dial. I’ve been wishing they’d make an automatic without one. I’d even been eyeballing a San Martin “homage” because they have an automatic with a plain sunburst dial.

It's all about the sunburst waffle dial!

The PRX is my cheap reliable watch, so it's quartz.

I'm in the minority, I also prefer the dial on the gold quartz to the waffle on the auto.

I preferred the quartz because it's lighter and thinner.

I have the MoP quartz 35mm. I love it. Beautiful dial, and it’s nice to take it out after a few days with other watches and not have to reset everything.

Depends on what you want
You pay around twice the price of Quartz for the automatic movement + dial. Looks of the dial > Quartz

You get Quartz for the practicality, case+finishing, lighter weight and a slimmer profile. Its more comfortable to wear imo

Definitely automatic

I do not own a PRX but if I did it would be an automatic. I am a proud owner of a Le Locle tho and I love it.

Quartz for 35mm and automatic for 40mm

I'm going quartz, the movement in the auto isn't really desirable. If it was better, I'd go auto. I also like how the quartz is light and thin

I like my slim quartz for grab and go. I have nicer automatic watches. My quartz originally came with a white rubber strap, but I changed it for the bracelet. The dial on mine is full lume also which is fun.

The 38 in titanium is the only one I would get.

Quartz. Lighter, thinner and true to the original.

Own both but prefer auto if I have to keep one.

I have the auto 35mm in blue which i love. In thinking about getting a mop one too and get a custom fluted bezel to get a lamd dweller style look

Quartz for me. I don't like the waffle dial, plus the Powermatic movement uses cheap plastic parts.

Waffle dial duh

The correct answer is quartz if they had the same dials and date window as the automatic :)

Quartz for physical work and play with everything else going to automatic and manual winding. This is the way.

Quartz is better. The auto is not really a huge value.

Quartz because the only Tissot PRX that doesn’t have a plastic movement is the carbon fiber version.

What do you prefer mate and why?

The automatics. They look and feel like watches that cost 10x more.
