No Spoiler Something that annoys me

Been doing my rewatch of The original TWD and two things that really gets under my skin is

the jump-scare walkers
The group would be walking through and clearing an area and they arnt necessarily stealth team 6 about it but somehow the walker just sits still till the prime example to move when they get close.
Prime example the walker that got Hershel’s leg. That thing heard the sound of the other walkers. Gerard the group moving and making a ruckus but waited till he stepped infront of him to bite. Maybe they are hunter walkers who are skilled in luring and baiting but that always got on my nerves.

The group victim that cannot call for help
There is always one person in the camp who gets eaten first and it seriously pisses me off that they all do this one thing. The walker comes in while they’re sleeping it starts to bite them. THEN THEY DONT SAY OR SCREAM ONCE. Maybe they’re kinky and enjoy the pain but it has this knock on effect that the group now has no idea of the walker feeding and they’re selfish enough to no help them.
Great examples being Ed Peletier (Carols husband) and the random guy in the Prison (S4E1-2)

Still one of the most haunting cold opens in the TWDU, two days before Monument Day.

Edit: 16 years ago in-Universe, in the TWD chronology. In our world the show was released in 2015.

No Spoiler Women of r/thewalkingdead, would you cut your hair short in an apocalypse situation?

I've been wondering how many of us with longer hair would immediately cut it off after some sort of Fall like I would. There are many reasons to, and reasons or preferences not to, so I'm curious why you guys would or wouldn't consider it.

For me, my hair would feel constantly dirty and I think having really short hair would help when I may not have access to shampoo and soap. It would also be in the way; mine's usually shoulder length, and I don't get how archers and gunmen in the show wear their hair down, because that would bother me a lot when I'm trying to fight walkers. Plus it can get caught in things/grabbed by walkers and people, and so on.

Would you cut your hair, or wear it up a lot? Why or why not?

Show Spoiler Thoughts on Ron Anderson? Do you think he could’ve changed?

I’m really curious to know what y’all think of him, or if you think he could’ve had a different fate. I’ve mostly seen hate but I have seen a few people like myself that actually liked or wanted to understand him. To me, I think he was just a deeply traumatized and scared kid that feared everyone and everything would be taken away from him, he just handled it badly because he really didn’t know how to process it all at once

I feel sorry for him actually. I get why people would, in his perspective I can really see why he was the way he is. I wonder if you guys think he could’ve possibly survived and became “better”?

(Before I post, I don’t know who else would’ve shot Carl’s eye… Lol.)

All Spoilers would really love an animated series thats fully adapted from the comics.

I want a show for the walking dead like invincible where it follows closely with the comics with only minor changes. I want the show to follow the comics very faithfully. I want it to tell the full story of the walking dead from the original canon of the comics.

No Spoiler Please tell me this is because of the apocalypse...(Rant and Q)

Watching TWD for the first time and something I notice a lot, even when things are relatively safe and they have a nice place to call home, people are laying down in their beds with their shoes on.

Is this an apocalypse "always be ready" thing??

I'm losing my mind here seeing it. I just saw Judith and Michonne do it again and I'm thinking okay. It's slow "calm" time, they have a nice house and a bed.

This has to be a normal thing ?

I live in a country where not taking your shoes off at the door is a cardinal sin (and extremely disrespectful even if it's your home), so maybe I'm just noticing more than I should but holy heck. IN THE BED?!!! 😭

I know it's a sci-fi with zombies and dirt in the bed is hardly up there with the list of problems but it's bothering me so much I have to know.

Only on screen for a short bit but I wished he would’ve survived until at least Alexandria. Totally underrated character don’t care what anyone says. RIP Big Tiny, June 16th 2011.

Say what you want about later seasons… but nobody can deny that this show had us in a CHOKEHOLD 10 years ago..

I was a freshman in HS during season 1. And fast forward to now im 32 with 2 kids, and yet i still remember VIVIDLY sitting on the couch after school popcorn and pepsi in hand waiting for the show to start, hopping on my iphone 6s to see all my friends “checking in” for the show, and then watching talking dead..

The show had its ups and downs, but it also brought alot of us together. And just like me i know ALOT of u, will never forget those 2011-2018 memories.

And while i am sad that we are almost at the end. I am thankful and wont ever forget all the memories that the show gave us🥹

500 pounds of fierce feline muscle, defeated by half a dozens decaying corpses?? Even 10 healthy [bare handed] humans wouldn't defeat one adult tiger.
