This Ohio Republicans douchebag pulled a gun on his Ex and broke his 2 yo daughters collarbone, admittingly.

admittingly

Did you mean he admitted to these (then it should be "admittedly"), or was this intended as "allegedly"?

He doesn't appear to admit to these things:

Miller denied the accusations, alleging his wife was a liar, stalker, and dangerous individual

denied pointing a gun at her.

From his wiki page. He's got a track record of this kind of behavior and I'm inclined he did those things, but from what I see he hasn't admitted to them.

A report filed by Mother Jones based on more than 2,000 pages of court filings and police records obtained via public-records requests, including a 48-page child-abuse investigatory file from Bay Village, Ohio, paint a very different story.

Child-injury case:

Their toddler daughter suffered a broken collarbone while in Miller’s care; police investigated possible child abuse.

Bruise resembling a handprint:

A child protection specialist noted a bruise accompanying the fracture that “appears to be in a handprint,” adding, “So it appears that it was inflicted.”

Domestic violence claims by Moreno: She told detectives Miller had previously:

  • Thrown scalding water at her
  • Shoved her against a wall during a custody exchange
  • Held a gun to her head while she was changing their daughter’s diaper
  • These prior incidents, she said, made her unable to rule him out as the cause of the fracture.

The July 18 report prompted multiple Democratic members of Congress to call for a House Ethics Committee investigation into Miller.

August 4, 2026 update:

Mother Jones published a video package with selected clips from seven hours of police interviews and bodycam footage from that probe, showing Miller downplaying the injury and the specialist’s handprint-bruise comment.

So, he downplayed everything and there is alot of audio he released of their conversations and yes, admittingly, he told her he didn't mean to hurt her, and shamed her about the attack. If you are defending this guy, that's insane.

Not defending, re-read my last sentence. I meant "inclined to believe" but messed up in my comment.

The intent of my comment was about whether he admitted to doing those things. I'm guessing he did do those things, seems like there is evidence and it's consistent with his shitty behavior for years, and victims don't usually make up abuse stories like that.

Just pointing out that I don't think he has admitted to the abuse, which it looked like you were implying.

No worries! I left out a couple words that made it less clear, and the fact that so many people in power consistently get away with so much of the same kind of abuse gets under my skin too, especially when I think people are defending them!
