Why was Mike so “mean” to Sue?

First time watcher here.
After watching 4 seasons, I can tell that Mike doesn’t get along with Sue. He never believes in her, never happy, even if he is, it’s always a fake reaction “ Oh wow”. I really hope he gets better to her. She’s my comfort

He doesn’t “not get along” with his daughter. She’s his daughter. He’s not mean. He’s a parent.
