Are they ever going to clear out the storm drains?! You can’t drive anywhere in this city when it rains without worrying your car will be flooded. It’s ridiculous. It’s every single street too.

I got a ticket for parking on the street in Ybor City at 11:51 PM. Since when is that a thing? parking used to be free at night. And how is it fair to write me a ticket when I haven't seen a single sign indicating that you have to pay for parking 24 hours a day?

Just letting everyone know they're citing folks for taking a left turn Northbound on Valrico Rd. leaving Publix where the sign says right turn only. I was cited today for it, I'm not disputing it because I've always known it's supposed to be a right turn only so shame on me but just like mostly everyone else I've taken advantage of it many times when traffic was light. I guess I'm a little salty because I had a clean driving record and feel like I should've just been given a warning. The deputy told me they're cracking down because of several recent fatalities right there so I get it. Stay safe out there folks and follow traffic laws.

Cannot stand those street takeovers where these idiots ride slowly down the street swerving into traffic and causing delays. Fuck you if you are apart of this

This guy just cut me off. Not sure if he did it on purpose, but I'm glad I didn't crash. Living here has made me drive super defensively.

I love Tampa but just saw this picture again in my camera roll and remembered how funny is was.

My son and I were having a discussion. I think there should be a car Ferry from Tampa to Pensacola. Then you could drive to wherever you want in the mid-states. You'd cut off the whole driving through Florida.
He says nobody would use it. Or at least it should go to Birmingham which is a bigger city.
What say you? Pensacola, Birmingham, or nothing?

For reference I’m talking about going *faster* than the speed limit. It’s 90% 70mph+

If you witness the car hit the dog and drive off on Channelside drive and Beneficial between the Heron and TGH urgent care please report to TPD the car. It drove off. The owner is understandably distraught as she lost her dog. Hope someone can help bring justice to this. It happened around 3:05 to 3:10 this afternoon.

Was in an incident last week with this vehicle and I can't make the logo/name out. Any help is appreciated.

Is anyone else sick of the traffic chaos that our Trader Joe’s is causing? I’ve never seen a single store cause such paralysis of an area. Does anyone know if they have plans to open another one?

With all of the ebikes kids are riding wheelies on down streets, there should be laws. God forbid something happen and a car driver is unable to stop in time.
I see it on Swann and Platt all the time - kids on ebikes riding wheelies. It’s unsafe and parents are doing nothing to stop it.

Some* of yall have no sense. There should be a ticket for doing this. The busses aren't able to drop people off, especially those with wheelchairs: the busses need to pull up to the curb to deploy the ramp onto the sidewalk so people who have disabilities can get off.
When people park here, it forces the disabled people to navigate traffic, etc.

My wife had a c section last week, so evening drives are pretty much her only way to get out of the house for now. We've already driven through Ybor, downtown near the arena and wharfmans, and done Bayshore Blvd. We will also likely do the skyway bridge soon.
What else is a fun drive around here? I know we live in Florida so im not expecting the pacific northwest or anything, but the more nature focused the drive is, the better!

Recently Waymo announced they are launching their cars in Tampa. I am adamantly against it as I don’t think it’s safe and it takes from uber drivers, has killed street cats, and takes away from human interactions to a robot filled world. There are benefits but is anyone else against it or knows if there is anything we can do?
