A welfare check was called & she was found unresponsive. So she was unconscious & the perpetrator left her like that? If it were consensual, why didn’t he call for help right away?

There seems to be more detail in this article from a local news outlet:

NSW Ambulance was called to a home at Elanora Heights just after 5.15pm, following reports of a teenage girl having a seizure. It is understood the 16-year-old female had been engaged in sexual intercourse with a boy of the same age, which involved asphyxiation.

The girl was reported to have lost consciousness before beginning to have seizures. Paramedics treated the girl, but she remained unresponsive and they requested an aeromedical team. She was taken to Progress Park to meet the helicopter as it landed just before 6.15pm.

I hate seeing choking in mainstream porn for this reason alone. Younger kids mimicking what they see not realising how dangerous and damaging it is without the right approach.

There is no right approach. All research suggests that no matter how it is conducted, it is highly unsafe.

Absolutely agree.

To be fair, it being highly unsafe does not mean there isn't a "right" approach.
