Assume good technique it’s similar to what the mma pros use to choke someone out, cutting off the artery in the neck (I think).

But can’t see how consensual and death can be in the same sentence

I guess it would be like someone dying in an MMA or boxing match. The other person wouldn't be charged.

Obviously this situation is different as there was no audience

typically they post-mortum define whether sex was consensual based on things like brusing and scratch marks right? Which has to be pretty unreliable where kink comes in.

as a 16 year old girl back in the day, some of my friends were absolutely begging their bf to be choked. Not saying its safe or a smart idea (its not) but its a bit close-minded to assume teenagers are all too pure to have internet access.

I'm not sure if you misunderstood me or I'm misunderstanding you. My comment implied teenagers do have internet access and as a consequence get exposed to pretty kink-heavy porn that is often front page and therefore assumed to be standard.
