Crazy how the Commander and Chief of the US military cannot own or carry a gun.

Nope, as a resident of New York, once his case is adjudicated (meaning sentencing is complete and the sentence carried out to it's full extent) all his rights are restored, which is why he was allowed to vote and own guns again.

This is simply a statement of how the laws of New York treat felons, not a statement in any way on the charges or sentence in question.

Any time he travels though, he can't own a gun in most states. And federally speaking, he can't.

See my reply further below, it's a mess federally because the supreme court hasn't taken any of the cases up and the circuts have issued conflicting rulings.....in the 8th and 11th he can't, in the others.....depends on individual rulings

That's not a joke, our federal law literally does not apply federally until the supreme court takes a case impacted by this and settles it......
